There was a time when every meal felt like a problem to solve.

I searched for the perfect diet.

The perfect supplement.

The perfect answer.

Healing changed more than what I eat.

It changed my relationship with nourishment...and, ultimately, my relationship with myself.

Today, the way I nourish myself looks much simpler.

I choose foods that help me feel nourished.

I slow down.

I pay attention.

I enjoy the process.

This isn't about perfection.

It's about relationship.

Because every relationship we have begins with the relationship we have with ourselves.

Every meal, every cup of tea, and every choice is another opportunity to pause, listen to my body, and strengthen the relationship we share.

Over time, I've come to realize that healing isn't something I did once.

It's a relationship I continue to nurture every day.

One meal.

One choice.

One act of kindness toward myself at a time.

A few years ago, these dreams only existed on a vision board.

Today, I'm living many of them...and I almost missed it. 💜

For me, a vision board has never been about predicting the future. It's simply a reminder—a light on my path that helps keep me walking in the direction of my heart and my dreams.

Looking back at these three vision boards, I realized something I hadn't fully stopped to notice.

In 2024, there was a picture of a little guest house that didn't exist yet and the beginnings of an idea I thought might become a cookbook.

In 2025, I scribbled a simple note:

"Book published 2025."

The timing wasn't exactly what I wrote down. The publishing process began in the fall of 2025, and my memoir was published in January 2026. Life rarely follows my calendar, and I'm perfectly okay with that.

Today, I'm writing these words from that guest house, and the book that once lived on a vision board now rests quietly on the shelf behind me.

Then, this week, I received an email I'd honestly forgotten I was waiting for.

Crohnie kNOw More was selected for the Phoenix Public Library's 2026 Local Author Fair and Author Programming List.

I smiled—not because it felt like I'd arrived, but because it reminded me that the seeds we plant often continue growing while we're busy living our lives.

Today, I'm living in so many answered prayers.

Not because life is perfect.

Not because everything happened exactly as I imagined.

But because, looking back, I can finally see a thread I couldn't always see while I was living it.

Sometimes the greatest gift isn't simply that a dream comes true.

It's realizing how much you've grown while walking toward it.

Thank you to everyone who has encouraged me, believed in me, read my story, or simply walked beside me along the way.

Here's to continuing to listen, trust, and take the next faithful step.

Happy 10th Birthday to my sweet Blue dog. 💙

Blue has been with me through some of the hardest chapters of my life. He never cared whether I was healthy or sick, successful or struggling. He simply loved me.

He reminded me to get outside when I didn't want to move.
To laugh when life felt heavy.
To slow down.
To be present.

Some of my deepest healing happened with him walking beside me.

Dogs have a way of loving without conditions. Maybe that's why they help us remember how to love ourselves a little better, too.

Blue celebrated turning 10 with a cupcake, lots of tail wags, and the biggest smile.🧁🐾

Happy Birthday, Blue dog. Thank you for a decade of unconditional love. Here's to many more walks, adventures, naps, and quiet moments together. 💙💜

There was a time when my mornings began with rushing.

Today I try to begin them with stillness.

Not because life is perfect.

Not because every day feels easy.

But because I've learned that how I begin my day often shapes how I live it.

Healing didn't happen all at once.

It grew through ordinary moments...

one quiet morning at a time.

💜

What helps you begin your day with intention?

For a long time, I thought healing meant going back to who I was before I broke open.

But that’s not what happened.

I didn’t go back. I went through it.

I spent a long time trying to erase the cracks.
Trying not to see them.

Then I started noticing what comes through them.

Kintsugi is the Japanese art of repairing broken pottery with gold. The breaks stay. They become part of it.

I don’t live in that version of me before I broke open anymore. I can’t.

Maybe I was never meant to.

Maybe whole isn’t going back.

Maybe it’s what gets built after.

I spent years waiting to be "healed."

Waiting for the day I would finally arrive at a place where everything was fixed and life would be easy again.

What I've learned instead is that healing isn't a finish line.

Healing is showing up for yourself.

Healing is paying attention.

Healing is choosing again when you slip into old habits.

Healing is offering yourself grace when the journey doesn't unfold exactly as planned.

Today, I focus on progress, not perfection.

Healing is not perfection.

Healing is presence. 💜

For years, I believed healing meant finding the right answer.

The right doctor.
The right treatment.
The right diet.

What I eventually learned was something much simpler—and much harder.

My body had been speaking to me all along.

The challenge wasn't that my body wasn't communicating.

The challenge was learning how to listen.

One of the greatest lessons of my journey was discovering that my body wasn't working against me. It was trying to guide me.

That lesson became the heart of Crohnie kNOw More.

Your body is wiser than you think. 💜

Thank you to everyone who has read, shared, and supported the book so far.
