🇺🇸 250 Years. What an incredible milestone. 🇺🇸
Today we celebrate the birth of an idea that changed the world—the belief that freedom is worth protecting, that opportunity should exist for everyone, and that a nation can be strengthened by ordinary people doing extraordinary things together.
Two hundred and fifty years later, America is still a work in progress. We face real challenges. We don’t always agree. We wrestle with difficult questions about our future.
But maybe this Independence Day is also an invitation to look beyond the noise.
Turn off the headlines for a little while. Put down the phone. Walk through your neighborhood. Go to the parade. Visit the farmer’s market. Talk with someone you’ve never met before.
What you’ll often find is something that doesn’t make the evening news.
People smiling.
Kids laughing.
Neighbors helping each other.
Veterans quietly serving their communities long after their uniforms are gone.
Families gathering around a grill.
Friends who vote differently but still show up for one another.
That doesn’t mean we ignore our differences. It means we remember our shared humanity is greater than our disagreements.
America has never required us to think the same. It has always challenged us to live together, debate respectfully, and keep believing that tomorrow can be better than today.
As we celebrate 250 years, my hope is simple: that we spend a little more time talking to each other than about each other. That we choose curiosity over assumptions, kindness over contempt, and community over division.
Because when we remember that we’re neighbors before we’re labels, we often discover we have far more in common than we imagined.
Happy 250th Birthday, America.
May we never stop striving to become the very best version of ourselves—and of this nation we all call home.
🇺🇸Happy Fourth of July 🇺🇸
