Today is a lot of things I want to acknowledge.
It's the last day of World Breastfeeding Week. It's my baby's 15 month birthday. That's 458 days of breastfeeding. ~11,000 hours of feeding my baby with my body.

I won't pretend at all that it's been easy. Some days it's beautiful. Some days it's hard. Most days it's both. What helped most wasn't a product or a hack. It was rest. Support. Being cared for so I could keep caring for him.

If you're in the thick of it, I see you. My table is open. 💜

May kinda wrecked me emotionally in the best way.

My baby turned 1.
We made it a full year breastfeeding which honestly feels both empowering & mildly unhinged. This season of life is beautiful, exhausting, healing, overstimulating, sacred, messy, & somehow all of the above at the same time.

Motherhood is weird because you can be completely touched out & completely in awe at the same time.

I’ve come realize that success looks really different to me now. Less hustle. More presence. More slow mornings. More meaningful connection. More creating a life that actually feels good to live.
A life where people feel cared for when they enter my space.
A life where my child feels safe, loved, & deeply known.
A life that feels aligned instead of impressive.

I feel really thankful for this season. Tired, yes. But deeply thankful. Thankful to my clients who trust me with their bodies & births. 💜

I don’t share this part of my story very often.

I’m a doula. I support other people through their birth. Yet my own birth held moments of surrender, grief, & unexpected strength. Now, more than ever, I understand how much our bodies (& hearts) carry after birth. It can be really heavy. It can feel lonely. It's also full of deep love that's impossible to describe.
Grief and love can exist in the same story.

My baby was full term & he still needed the NICU.

Up to 40-60% of NICU babies are born at or after 37 weeks.

Full term doesn’t guarantee health.
It doesn’t promise ease.
It doesn’t spare families from hard beginnings.

Nothing prepares you for the journey of monitors, schedules, & waiting.
For learning new routines you never expected.
For finding strength you didn’t know you had.

These stories matter.
And so do you.
