I’m on a trip to my home town, Kansas City. More specifically, at the moment: Overland Park, Kansas. I forced myself to go on a run. We can do hard things!!!!

I’m here for my dad’s heart surgery and it feels miraculous. I mean, actually, It’s less miracle and more science/modern medicine but wow. They wheeled him out of surgery and he already looked better, with his defibrillator/pacemaker making sure his heart doesn’t beat too slow. A little computer in his body, attached to his heart. Holy mackerel. The team at KU Medical Center was incredible.

I was running and enjoying those endorphins and enjoying that delightful Kansas Vitamin D and thinking how well we’ve all gelled on this trip. Someone asked me yesterday: how’s everyone getting along? I said proudly: “Terriffic!! So far…!”

By the time I made it back from the run, I discovered that the first disruption had occurred. Because these are people I know very well and I knew I could get away with it, and because I was all run happy, I kindly barked at all parties: “go actively calm down and come back when you can talk without escalating!” Then I winked at myself. Hey, girl. Therapy, books, mental health reporting, coach training. You’ve learned a helluva lot. Granted, I wasn’t the one who was triggered here. I had the easy job, but still!

🤣🤣🤣 I’m only talking about the dishes, guys!!!

Truthfully, this is a fantastic explanation of ADHD and focus and hyperfocus, particularly for people who are not afraid to talk about s*x. 🙋🏼‍♀️Although…oh yeah, we are not even talking about s*x!!

Note, an overall lack of focus is not the right description. Ask my ADHD-brained kid who can spends hours on her drawings.

Apparently, I love on the last day of the year! Complete coincidence so I had to redo the photo. Look at these photos - babies!! Not babies! And wow all the trials and tribulations I’ve gone through over these years and also all the wins and all the love. So much love.

Goodbye, 2022. Hello, 2023.

Please, my friends, be gentle on yourselves as you roll into the new year. I look around and I see a lot of ambition and a lot of being too hard on ourselves. I know I am.

I closed my eyes yesterday and asked myself what word I needed to hear and it was “gentle.” I told myself: “be gentle.” To me.

We can still accomplish our relationship goals without the blissful Big Dream. What’s yours?

Toss it and instead take one little baby step. The baby steps add up. Make each baby step the big, bad goal.

Happy! Freaking! Holidays from me and these two and Truss Love ADHD Coaching. 🥳❤️😘

What an incredible year, my friends. I couldn’t be happier about my decision to dive the heck on in to coaching. ADHD has been my obsession for years and working with clients is the most rewarding experience ever. Why? I suppose it’s because I have a thing and I want to share the thing and then when I get to, it’s just magic.

I have awe and gratitude when I look at 2022 even though it includes some of the hardest days in my life. How about you? Where are you at? Message me and let me know.

May your next days be what you want for them, whether that’s celebrating Christmas or finishing up Hanukkah or whatever it is for you! I hope it is just what you want it to be. Or message me if you want to talk about lightening your load and managing expectations ha!! Because the holidays can also be overwhelming! Kisses to you, beautiful people!

And may you fellow Jewish friends enjoy delicious Chinese food tomorrow night, our important U.S. Jewish Christmas Eve tradition. 😂😂 but true! And fun!
