⭐️ 🎈 🎪 What a great day at The Oasis Community Recovery Club Carnival! 🎪 🎈 ⭐️

Victory House was proud to attend such a wonderful event hosted by The Oasis Community Recovery Support Center! It was an amazing day filled with connection, community, resources, providers, laughter, and, most importantly, celebrating the people we serve and their recovery journeys. 💜

Events like this are such an important reminder that recovery is not something anyone has to navigate alone. Bringing together treatment providers, recovery supports, community resources, and individuals in recovery creates opportunities for connection and support that can make a lasting difference.

Oasis plays a very important role for us at the Victory House. Their continued support, partnership, and dedication to the recovery community mean so much to our facility, our staff, and individuals we serve. We are incredibly grateful for the relationship we have and for everything Oasis does to support individuals and families throughout their recovery journeys.

Thank you to the Oasis team for putting together such a fantastic day and for always creating a welcoming space where people can connect, learn, and celebrate recovery. We are proud to be part of this recovery community! 💜

🎉 The First Annual “Victie” Awards! 🏆

Last week the staff at Victory House came together for a little fun, food, laughter, and recognition at our staff potluck (spearheaded by one of our counselors, Katie). Inspired by The Office and the infamous Dundie Awards, we created our very own “Victie” Awards to celebrate the people who make Victory House what it is. ❤️

The Victies gave us a chance to recognize the unique personalities, talents, quirks, strengths, and qualities that each person brings to our team. We may all be different, but those differences are exactly what make us stronger when we come together.

Behind the work we do every day are dedicated people who show up, support one another, care about the individuals we serve, and continue to give their best—even on the challenging days. Today was a reminder to pause, have some fun, laugh together, and appreciate the incredible team we have.
From the serious to the silly, every “Victie” was a reflection of what makes our staff special. 🏆😂

Different strengths. Different personalities. One team. One Victory House. 💙

Just a few short weeks ago our facility went to Knoebels for Halloween — and what an amazing time we had! 👻🎢
From games, haunted houses, food, to roller coasters, there was so much laughter, connection, and pure joy. Seeing everyone enjoy the day sober, present, and building memories together was truly inspiring. Recovery isn’t just about what we leave behind — it’s about discovering new moments of fun, hope, and community 💛

It has been a busy month of advocating - being out and about in the communities.

We are grateful for those individuals who create and advocate for support for those who have lost loved ones from overdose. Their contribution highlights the importance of breaking the stigma, offering hope, and making sure those struggling know they’re not alone. Together, we remember those we’ve lost, stand with their families, and recommit ourselves to prevention, recovery, and advocacy.

🕯️ Let’s continue the conversation, raise awareness, and work toward a future where fewer lives are cut short by addiction.

Our admissions coordinator Linda, attended Coffee & Connections at 📍 Abide Coffeehouse hosted by Katrina of WVBH and Patrick of Newport Healthcare; two passionate advocates for recovery and building purpose-driven relationships.

It was a valuable opportunity to connect with other professionals, share perspectives, resources, and encouragement with colleagues who are just as passionate about this work.

These individuals continue to work on making meaningful connections in the community, breaking stigma, build solutions, and brew change — one cup ☕️ at a time 🖤

🌟 Volunteering isn’t just about giving your time — it’s about making real connections. Whether it’s lending a hand at a local event or supporting a cause you care about, you meet amazing people, and grow in ways you never expected. 🪴🪏🪻🌱🌸🌻

Shamokin Community Gardens was blessed to have five volunteers from Victory House help clean up Sunbury Street Community Garden! We could never have accomplished so much without these friendly, polite, hard-working gentlemen. Two stayed an extra hour and a half to knock down thick, invasive growth on the second tier above the stone walls. Thank you!

Yesterday, N.O.R.C.O. hosted a fantastic event at the Illumination Station in Shamokin — and we’re proud to share that Victory House attended and some volunteered their time to support the cause! The event featured food, fun craft activities, and valuable information from local providers about mental health resources; harm reduction kits were also available to those in need. It was a meaningful day focused on connection, awareness, and support. The residents of Victory House are always dedicated and willing to give back to the local community. They consistently enjoy volunteering, as it allows them to be part of something bigger than themselves, which boosts their self-worth in early recovery! 🙌
