Just a few short weeks ago our facility went to Knoebels for Halloween — and what an amazing time we had! 👻🎢
From games, haunted houses, food, to roller coasters, there was so much laughter, connection, and pure joy. Seeing everyone enjoy the day sober, present, and building memories together was truly inspiring. Recovery isn’t just about what we leave behind — it’s about discovering new moments of fun, hope, and community 💛

It has been a busy month of advocating - being out and about in the communities.

We are grateful for those individuals who create and advocate for support for those who have lost loved ones from overdose. Their contribution highlights the importance of breaking the stigma, offering hope, and making sure those struggling know they’re not alone. Together, we remember those we’ve lost, stand with their families, and recommit ourselves to prevention, recovery, and advocacy.

🕯️ Let’s continue the conversation, raise awareness, and work toward a future where fewer lives are cut short by addiction.

Our admissions coordinator Linda, attended Coffee & Connections at 📍 Abide Coffeehouse hosted by Katrina of WVBH and Patrick of Newport Healthcare; two passionate advocates for recovery and building purpose-driven relationships.

It was a valuable opportunity to connect with other professionals, share perspectives, resources, and encouragement with colleagues who are just as passionate about this work.

These individuals continue to work on making meaningful connections in the community, breaking stigma, build solutions, and brew change — one cup ☕️ at a time 🖤

Shamokin Community Gardens was blessed to have five volunteers from Victory House help clean up Sunbury Street Community Garden! We could never have accomplished so much without these friendly, polite, hard-working gentlemen. Two stayed an extra hour and a half to knock down thick, invasive growth on the second tier above the stone walls. Thank you!

Yesterday, N.O.R.C.O. hosted a fantastic event at the Illumination Station in Shamokin — and we’re proud to share that Victory House attended and some volunteered their time to support the cause! The event featured food, fun craft activities, and valuable information from local providers about mental health resources; harm reduction kits were also available to those in need. It was a meaningful day focused on connection, awareness, and support. The residents of Victory House are always dedicated and willing to give back to the local community. They consistently enjoy volunteering, as it allows them to be part of something bigger than themselves, which boosts their self-worth in early recovery! 🙌
