Our recent HRSA New Access Point award marks an important milestone: SCHC has transitioned from a Federally Qualified Health Center Look-Alike to a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC).

This designation strengthens our ability to expand access to high-quality, affordable healthcare and provides additional federal resources and support as we grow.

We’re proud of how far SCHC has come since we began serving the Shenango Valley in 1997, and we’re even more excited about what this next chapter will mean for the patients and communities we serve.

Big news for Sharon Community Health Center! We’re proud to announce that we have been awarded a $650,000 grant through the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) as part of the New Access Point grant program.

This investment will help us build on nearly 30 years of serving the Shenango Valley while expanding access to high-quality, affordable healthcare across our region.

We’re excited to share that SCHC has officially joined PA Navigate!

We joined PA Navigate because we believe that no one should struggle to find the help they need. Every day, we serve individuals and families facing various challenges like food insecurity, transportation needs, and financial barriers, and we know that connecting people to the right resources at the right time can make all the difference.

For us, this was about strengthening how we:
✔ Connect clients to services beyond our organization
✔ Collaborate with partners across our community
✔ Streamline referrals and reduce barriers to care

We’re proud to be part of a statewide effort that brings together healthcare providers, community organizations, and partners to better serve Pennsylvanians because when we work together, communities are stronger.
