Friday is a national day of awareness to highlight how America’s hospitals and health systems combat violence in their workplaces and communities. HSHS joins American Hospital Association today in taking a stand against violence against health care workers.

At HSHS, we believe that for people to meet their greatest human potential and fulfill their calling to serve others, our workplace must be an environment designed to promote health, well-being and remain safe for the delivery of care.

🦋 Please join our HSHS Home Care & Hospice team on June 9 at 4 p.m. for a special gathering in our Healing Garden (east side of hospital). Together, we will release butterflies in a beautiful tribute to the loved ones who have touched our hearts.

The butterfly is a symbol of the spirit’s transformation—gracefully reminding us that love endures, even as life changes. This moment of remembrance offers peace, connection and healing for all who attend.

Thank you to the Shelbyville Lions Club for their recent generous donation of $1,100 to support the Vicky Wagner Breast Cancer Assistant Fund. 💗 This fund helps Shelby County women with their out-of-pocket expenses who are actively seeking treatment for breast cancer.

We’re honored to help our community retire worn American flags with respect. Flag collection boxes are now inside the main doors of HSHS Good Shepherd Hospital and the clinic. All flags will be respectfully disposed of in partnership with VFW POST 4829 Shelbyville, IL during a special Flag Day ceremony on June 14 at 8 p.m.
