Please join us in welcoming Michelle Waller, RN, MSN, to Sherman Medical Center as our Chief Executive Officer.

After relocating from Illinois to lead Sherman Medical Center into its next chapter, Michelle officially joined our team this month and has already begun meeting with staff, physicians, and community partners to learn more about the people who make SMC special.

Michelle brings more than a decade of progressive healthcare leadership experience, having advanced from the bedside to executive leadership through roles including Emergency Department Nurse, Urgent Care Director, Assistant Chief Nursing Officer, Chief Clinical Officer, Chief Operating Officer, and Chief Executive Officer.

Known for her servant leadership approach, Michelle believes great healthcare begins with engaged employees, strong physician partnerships, and a shared commitment to the communities we serve. Her focus is on strengthening clinical excellence, improving the patient experience, supporting our caregivers, and building a sustainable future for healthcare in Texoma.

As Sherman Medical Center continues moving forward, we are excited to have Michelle leading our organization and helping shape the future of care for our patients, employees, and community.

🌧️ **Health Fair Update**

Well, this is not the post we wanted to make today.

After closely monitoring the weather forecast, we've made the difficult decision to postpone tomorrow's 4th Annual Grayson Co. Health Fair due to the expected storms and rain during event hours.

We know many of you were planning to attend. Our vendors, food trucks, community partners, volunteers, and staff have put a tremendous amount of work into preparing for this event, and we were looking forward to spending the day with all of you.

But at the end of the day, the safety of our community comes first.

The good news? This event is **NOT canceled — only postponed.** We are already working to secure a new date and will announce it as soon as possible. Keep an eye on our page for new date to be announced! We cannot wait to see you all for this great event!

We appreciate the support of our incredible vendors, food trucks, health partners, and community members who continue to help make this event grow each year.

Sherman Medical Center is proud to be here all day supporting the Texoma FC Cancer Awareness 4v4 Tournament and tonight's home match against the Lubbock Matadors!

From first aid support and ice packs to cookies and smiles, our team is honored to help keep players, families, and fans safe while they enjoy an incredible day on the pitch. Watching these young athletes compete for a great cause reminds us that community is at the heart of everything we do.

Some of the most meaningful moments in healthcare happen when a community comes together to care for one another. ❤️

Today, our hearts are full as we share our deepest gratitude to Driven Legacy and the incredible members of First Christian Church in Anna, Texas. Over the past several weeks, they collected approximately 1,500 toiletries and personal care items for our Beyond the Bedside program—an act of kindness that will bring comfort, dignity, and hope to patients when they need it most.

Every toothbrush, every bottle of shampoo, every care package assembled represents something bigger than a donation. It represents compassion. It represents neighbors helping neighbors. It represents a community that sees a need and responds with love.

To everyone who gave, volunteered, organized, and packed these items—thank you. Your generosity will touch lives in ways you may never fully see, but that impact will be felt by every patient who receives one of these packages.

We are honored to serve alongside people and organizations who remind us that healing happens not only through medicine, but through kindness, connection, and the unwavering support of a caring community.

⚽❤️ What a night at Munson Stadium!

Sherman Medical Center had a blast connecting with families and fans during last night’s Texoma FC match against the Diablos! From giveaways and community conversations to an unexpectedly competitive game of giant Connect 4, our booth stayed busy all evening as kids (and a few adults 😉) stopped by to test their strategy skills.

The best part? Seeing so many families enjoying a great night of soccer and community together.

And to top it all off, congratulations to Texoma FC on an exciting victory over the Diablos! 🎉⚽ The energy in the stadium was incredible, and we’re proud to support local events that bring Texoma together.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by the Sherman Medical Center booth. We loved meeting you and can’t wait to see you at the next match!
