When I first asked myself this question, my immediate reaction was disbelief. Suspicion.
“There must be a mistake. “ “yeah right”
Which was interesting to notice.
Because disbelief is often the nervous system saying, “That doesn’t feel possible for me.” It’s the body protecting the reality it’s familiar with, even when something good is imagined.
Many of us carry subconscious beliefs about money, safety, worthiness, and what’s possible for our lives. And those beliefs often live deeper in the nervous system than we realize. Effect more than we realize.
I’m curious what came up for you.
If $500,000 appeared in your account tomorrow, what emotion would hit first?
Relief?
Excitement?
Fear?
Disbelief?
Something else?
Comment the first feeling that came up. I’ll reply and share what that response can sometimes reveal about how the nervous system relates to money, safety, and scarcity.
