Woo hoo! We are so excited to have welcomed two new doulas this week!

Paola is completing her postpartum doula training, and she'll be ready to start working with clients at the end of August 🎉. Paola has a social work background and she is bilingual. We can't wait for her Spanish speaking clients to have access to a bilingual doula.

Lauren is a birth and postpartum doula who has a special interest in supporting single moms, along with clients of other backgrounds. As a single mom herself, she is well-positioned to understand the complexities of birthing and parenting without a partner.

Both of these women are an incredible asset to our community, and we are grateful to have them as part of the Transitions Team!

If you've been thinking about coming to the Breastfeeding Circle on Mondays at 9:30am, here's your sign.

We know it can feel intimidating to walk into a room of people you don't know. That's why we want to show you exactly what to expect when you come see us!

You might be wondering,
"What if my baby cries?" - (they all do at some point! We just talk louder 😂)

"What if everyone else has it all figured out?" - (no one does, but we swap tips and ideas to make life less complicated!)

"What if I'm uncomfortable breastfeeding in front of others?" - (Totally fine! We have a private space if you want one on one help. Or just hang out with your baby, there's no pressure to breastfeed.)

"What if I can't find help for my older kids?" - (Bring them! We have toys and snacks and love big brothers and sisters!)

"What if breastfeeding is going fine and I don't need help?" - (Amazing! Come hang out anyways, we're really welcoming and love to chat).

We created this opportunity because we saw a gap in the community. So even if you're nervous, just be brave for the time it takes to walk through those doors, because once you're inside, you'll see what it's all about!
