Are you a creative, high-energy leader who loves making a meaningful difference in the lives of seniors? Woodlawn Rehabilitation & Nursing Center (Skowhegan) is looking for a passionate Activities Director to join our leadership team!
At Woodlawn, we provide top-tier Short-Stay Rehab, Skilled Nursing, and Long-Term Care. We know that true healing and comfort go beyond clinical care—and that’s where you come in. As our Activities Director, you will design and lead programs that bring entertainment, exercise, relaxation, and smiles to our incredible residents.

📋 What You’ll Do
• Plan, organize, and direct a vibrant activities program for all residents.
• Support physically, emotionally, and cognitively impaired individuals to explore fulfilling hobbies.
• Build, organize, and grow our wonderful volunteer program.
• Collaborate as a key member of our facility leadership team (reporting directly to the Administrator).
✔️ What We’re Looking For
• A genuine heart for serving the elderly and disabled.
• High energy, enthusiasm, and outstanding interpersonal skills.
• Strong organization and documentation skills.
• Must meet AT LEAST ONE of the following:
o Degree/certification as a therapeutic recreation specialist, music therapist, or art therapist.
o Certified Activity Coordinator (NCCAP).
o 2 years of social/recreational experience within the past 5 years (with 1 year full-time in a healthcare activities program).
o Prior completion of (or willingness to complete within 6 months) a state-approved training course.
