There’s a grief that comes with grieving your life while actively living it.

It’s a grief that people don’t always understand because from the outside, you still “look fine.”

This blog is one of the most personal things I’ve written in a while.

It’s about:
✨ how chronic illness changes you
✨ survival mode
✨ identity shifts
✨ learning to survive and heal
✨ outgrowing people
✨ protecting your peace
✨ rebuilding yourself after life humbles you

I think a lot of us imagined adulthood looking different than this BUT just because life didn’t happen the way we expected doesn’t mean it’s over.

Sometimes life falls apart so you can finally meet yourself underneath it all.

Imagine spending your whole life waiting to feel 100% certain before you move.

Waiting until fear disappears.
Waiting until you know the outcome.
Waiting until you feel confident enough.
Waiting until you know for sure you will not fail.

You would spend your whole life standing still.

There are 86,400 seconds in a day. That’s 86,400 opportunities to breathe, reset, try again, choose differently, or take one step forward. Yet so much of our mental energy gets burned up replaying conversations, overthinking decisions, and second guessing ourselves into exhaustion.

Second guessing is usually not about the decision itself.

It’s often about:
• fear of making the “wrong” choice
• fear of judgment
• wanting certainty
• trying to stay emotionally safe

Maybe you are not actually indecisive. Maybe you are exhausted from carrying the pressure of trying to get everything “right.”

You are not stuck because you lack answers. You are stuck because you do not trust yourself enough to move in situations you cannot control.

If this resonates with you, go read the blog. I think it will hit home in a way you didn’t expect. 🤍

I had the opportunity to sit down with Amy Sanders on The Unblocked Woman Podcast and whew… this conversation was everything!

This conversation was personal. We talked about the things so many carry quietly:
👎🏾 Burnout.👎🏾 Pressure.👎🏾 People-pleasing.👎🏾 Survival mode.

One of the questions Amy asked me was about why I coach youth.

I coach youth because they deserve a better experience.

I think sometimes we forget how much kids are carrying emotionally. A lot of them are trying so hard to hold it together while still figuring out who they are.

They deserve to feel safe being themselves.
They deserve adults who listen without judgement.
They deserve guidance without shame.
They deserve correction without humiliation.
They deserve support without having to “earn” it first.

We get to break the cycle and prepare them to be emotionally intelligent young adults and that brings me so joy.

One of the hardest choices a woman will ever make is choosing herself.

For the chronically ill woman, it’s not that simple. For most of us it means relinquishing control and asking for help when you already feel unheard.

When we get the diagnosis, we are not just handed a name for what we’re facing. We are handed a list of all the ways our lives are about to change and most of them do not feel like they’re for the better.

We grip tightly to the things we can still do because we are grieving the life we once had while trying to make peace with a life that changed after diagnosis.

There comes a time when choosing yourself means you have to loosen your grip and learn to receive.

This life was never meant to be about how much we carried alone on this earth.

Your worth was never really tied to the task.

If you’re tired of carrying everything just to feel “enough” it’s time to do this differently.

I’m opening space for 7 women who are ready to choose themselves.

Comment READY or message me.

I sat on my gifts for longer than I care to admit.
It’s not because I didn’t know I had them but because I wasn’t using them.

I was spiraling in someone else’s blueprint. Trying to make my life look like theirs. Trying to force what was never meant for me.

The spiral felt familiar, so I settled for dysfunction (and stayed for YEARS).

Dysfunction can only be the distraction for so long. At some point, you have to decide
you want more than what’s been comfortable.

I hit rock bottom. I was scattered, forgetful, anxious and constantly overwhelmed.

I became angry and bitter but most of all TIRED of settling.

I used to bury my gifts, now I help others unlock theirs.

Stop settling for the familiarity of the spiral.
It’s time to get off the hamster wheel of expectations and create a life you don’t feel the need to escape from.

If you’re ready to stop circling and start executing… DM “READY”.

Let’s talk about what that looks like for you. Nothing changes unless you move.

Maybe you’re tired…the kind that makes you stare at your ceiling at night wondering, “Is this really all there is?”

Maybe you’re holding everything together for everyone else, whispering “I’m fine” while you quietly break.

Maybe your storm looks different from mine—a diagnosis, a divorce, a loss, a shift—but the feeling is the same.

You’re standing in the middle of it, soaked and scared, wondering if the light will ever find you again. I can tell you this with certainty, it will. You have to stop running from the rain first.

The power of the pivot isn’t about becoming someone new. It’s about remembering who you were before the storm taught you to forget. The woman I am now didn’t escape the fire. She learned how to carry the flame.

It’s time to stop surviving your storm and start rising from it. Join me for Step Out of the Storm and remember the woman you were before the world told you to forget.
