Just read something that said...

"Just because you could be doing more, doesn't mean you aren't doing enough"

And I had to stop.
Because you need to hear this.

You:
β†’ Worked a full day
β†’ Made dinner (even if it was takeout)
β†’ Helped with homework
β†’ Did bedtime
β†’ Answered emails after kids went to sleep
β†’ Collapsed into bed exhausted
And STILL went to sleep thinking "I didn't do enough today."

You did enough.
You actually did MORE than enough.

But somewhere along the way you started measuring yourself against an impossible standard.
The standard that says:
A good mom cooks from scratch every night.
A good employee stays late when needed.
A good partner is present and engaged.
A good daughter answers every call.
A good friend shows up every time.
A good woman handles it all without complaining.

And if you're not doing ALL of that?
You're failing.
That's a trap.

Here's what I know as a therapist who works with burned out moms:
The belief that you're never doing enough isn't a personality trait.

It's a symptom.
Of a nervous system that's been in overdrive for so long that rest feels like failure.
Of a mind that was taught that your worth is measured by your output.
Of a woman who has been pouring into everyone else for so long that she forgot her own cup needs filling too.

You are not a machine.
You are a person.
And people need rest.
People need grace.
People need to hear that who they ARE is enough.

Not what they do.
Not how much they produce.
Not how many needs they fulfill.
Just them. As they are. Right now.

If you're the mom reading this in the car before you go inside...
Or in bed scrolling when you should be sleeping...
Or in the bathroom hiding for 5 minutes of quiet...

This is for you:
You did enough today.
You ARE enough.

Drop a πŸ’™ if you needed this today.

Mark your calendars for June 27th! I’m honored to be speaking at Postpartum Power Hour, where we’ll be having an important conversation about Perinatal Mood and Anxiety Disorders (PMADs).

Whether you’re an expecting mom, a new mom, supporting a loved one, or simply passionate about maternal mental health, this discussion will provide valuable education, insight, and support. PMADs affect many families, yet so many people struggle in silence. Together, we can increase awareness, reduce stigma, and help mothers feel seen, heard, and supported.

I can’t wait to share, connect, and empower through this meaningful conversation. Join us on June 27th for an impactful hour dedicated to maternal mental health! πŸ’™βœ¨

"I felt like I was not a good mom."

If one of the greatest athletes in the world can feel like she isn't doing enough, that tells us something important: this is not a personal failure. It is a feeling that far too many new parents carry, quietly, and alone.

Postpartum depression and anxiety can look like guilt. Like never feeling like enough. Like going through the motions while something feels deeply off. You deserve support πŸ’™

Excited to officially share that I passed my PMH-C certification today! πŸŽ‰

This achievement represents dedication, growth, and a continued commitment to supporting individuals and families through the mental health challenges that can come during pregnancy and postpartum.

As a therapist, I’m passionate about creating safe spaces where women feel heard, supported, and empoweredβ€”not only in motherhood, but throughout every stage of life. Earning this certification allows me to deepen that work and continue providing informed, compassionate care to the communities I serve.

I’m proud of myself for pushing through the studying, balancing multiple responsibilities, and staying committed to this goal. Grateful for every experience, client, mentor, and supporter who continues to shape my journey. πŸ’›

Here’s to continued growth, learning, and impact.
