I am a wife of 15 years and a mother to three beautiful children. After a long NICU stay with my first daughter, I knew that I was meant to work in lactation. The care and support I received from the lactation consultants I
met during that time made all the difference in each of my personal journeys. I’ve been volunteering as a lactation peer counslor and caring for families for 12 years. I earned my Certified Lactation Counselor certificate in 2019 and an International board certified lactation consultant (IBCLC) in 2022, in honor of my oldest daughter who passed away in 2019. My personal experience comes from years of exclusively pumping, extended breastfeeding, nursing through tongue and lip tie revisions, dealing with oversupply, and breastfeeding through trauma. Providing a safe space to ask questions and seek support is at the core of my values as a lactation professional. Parents need a team of supporters and knowledgeable care specialists to successfully reach their individual breastfeeding goals. My goal is to encourage and empower families to succeed through evidence-based care. I currently work for Lactation Loop, as an IBCLC (International board certified lactation consultant). We are a circle of Lactation professionals with years of experience helping families be successful on their breastfeeding journeys. We also offer prenatal consults and breastfeeding classes.
