Today I saw a post asking "what do you do on dark days?" This was my reply...

On dark days, I know I should turn to Jesus first. If I'm honest, I don't always do that. Sometimes I distract myself by playing a game on my phone, watching YouTube, or just staying in bed.

Today is one of those pain-filled days where I hurt all over. Seeing this post was the reminder I needed. I stopped and prayed.

Now I need to spend time in God's Word, because there is always light, hope, healing, and encouragement to be found there. Then I want to let Him guide the rest of my day—whether that's resting, practicing healthy self-care, learning something new, or simply being still in His presence.

I'm grateful that even on the darkest days, Jesus meets us right where we are.
