Thank you Dr Brauner for the great advice... planing ahead is the best way to avoid heat stroke.
Avoid being outside between 3p-6p, hydrate with electrolytes, take a trip to the library for a few hours to escape the heat, or find a cooling station near you.

It is an honor to receive the Partnership Award from the Eugene Police Department.

"It goes without saying that when we need a hospital, we choose McKenzie-Willamette. When someone in custody needs to be cleared before jail, we know we can count on McKenzie-Willamette to treat the patient well and get them cleared as soon as possible while never neglecting the patient's needs. When officers are injured, we take them to McKenzie-Willamette because we know we'll be treated like family and the service will be amazing. Also if an officer goes in wearing plain clothes and the hospital staff learns that the person is an officer, he or she will be treated as if on duty.
