⚾🍌 BASEBALL BONANZA IS COMING TO HARBOR! 🍌⚾

Get ready for baseball with a Harbor twist! Join us for a morning of on-field antics, music, entertainment, lots of laughs, and plenty of fun — Savannah Bananas style!

And this isn’t your ordinary ballgame… Batter up and swing with anything BUT a bat! 😂 Bring a broom, tennis racket, skillet, cookie sheet — whatever crazy idea you can come up with!

We’ll wrap up the fun with a ballpark-style lunch. 🌭⚾

As always, Harbor Launch Events are FREE and open to people of all ages with different abilities and their families. ❤️

A few of our Harbor families are planning a trip to The Space Museum and Grissom Center in Bonne Terre on Sunday, September 6 at 1:00 PM, and we’d love to invite anyone who would like to join us!

The museum normally charges $15 admission, but they have graciously offered free admission for our group! Donations to support the museum are welcome.

🔬🚀 What a day for science! 🧪✨

Our Science Day was filled with experimenting, creating, learning, laughing, and plenty of hands-on fun! We loved watching everyone explore and experience science in ways that were engaging and accessible for all.

A HUGE thank you to Earl and Suzanne Mullins with the The Space Museum and Grissom Center for joining us and sharing such a fun, interactive presentation with our families. You helped make the day extra special! 🚀🌎

And, as always, thank you to our amazing volunteers, families, and everyone who helped make today possible. Seeing our Harbor community gather, connect, and enjoy these experiences together is what it’s all about. 💙

🚀🧪 Will we see you this Saturday?!

Summer may be winding down, but we’re squeezing in one more BIG adventure! ☀️ Come spend one of those last sweet days of summer with Harbor Unlimited at our Mad Scientist Adventure Day!

Throw on a lab coat (we’ll provide it! 🥼), get hands-on with some wacky science experiments, learn all about rocket propulsion, and even participate in a rocket launch! 🚀

📚 Back-to-school season is almost here!

As many families prepare for a new school year, we wanted to share a great community resource hosted by our friends at the Freddie Ford Family Foundation, Missouri Disability Empowerment (MoDE), and St. Louis Arc.

This FREE Back to School Parent Workshop & Special Education Station is designed to help parents and caregivers feel more prepared for the school year. Whether you have questions about IEPs or 504 plans, want practical back-to-school tips, or are looking to connect with local resources, this event has a lot to offer.

❄️ Still wishing you had more time on the ice after yesterday? We have good news!

If your family had fun skating with us (or couldn’t make it this time), here’s another wonderful opportunity to enjoy an afternoon on the ice. The Inclusive Ice Experience at St. Peters Rec-Plex is designed for individuals with disabilities and their families, with adaptive equipment, learn-to-skate instruction, and open skate time.

We love seeing more inclusive opportunities like this in our community and while this is not a Harbor Unlimited event, we hope many Harbor families can join the fun! If you have any questions please email Mandy Whitacre at [email protected]

❄️ What an Amazing Day on the Ice! 🏒⛸️

Our hearts are full after an incredible day of sled hockey and ice skating with our Harbor families!

There is something so special about seeing people step outside their comfort zones, cheer each other on, and celebrate every victory—big and small. Days like today are a beautiful reminder that joy grows when it’s shared and that everyone deserves a place where they feel welcomed, encouraged, and valued.

Thank you to our amazing volunteers and families for making this event so memorable. We are grateful for this community and the opportunity to create spaces where friendships grow, confidence is built, and hope shines a little brighter. Please share your photos in the comments or tag us!
