Hello everyone
This is a set of components for a 2006 Ford F250 Super Duty 6.0, including the FICM (Fuel Injection Control Module), ECM (Engine Control Module), and the power supply inside the FICM. In the last picture, you can see the data showing the readings from a scan tool, indicating the voltage of the new power supply.
We obtained these components from a shop for testing because they were unable to communicate or interact with them. While we were there, we decided to test the common failure point of these components, which is the power supply. It is Inside the FICM. The power supply tested bad at 12 volts, which should ideally be a steady 48 volts. We replaced the power supply, and the new one tested good with a steady 49 volts (as shown in the picture).
We are uncertain if the power supply alone was the issue or if there are other factors involved. We expect to have more information very soon. We are dropping these back off this Wednesday.
Just a few things we love doing. ❤️
