“She made it so easy.” 💗

Those five words mean just as much to me as hearing that a child made progress.

As a mom of three, I know firsthand how full every family’s plate is. Adding quality, compassionate speech therapy to your schedule shouldn’t feel like one more thing to juggle.

While research shows that children often make faster progress and have better carryover when therapy takes place in their natural environment, there’s also something equally important that I consider…convenience for families.

Speech therapy should support the whole family, and accessing high-quality care shouldn’t be another hoop your family has to jump through.

I’m so grateful for the families who trust Little Talkers and take the time to share their experiences. Reviews like this remind us why we love what we do. 🥰

🎓 Graduation days never get old.

At Little Talkers, we don’t just improve a child’s communication skills. We build relationships, create meaningful connections, and foster trust and confidence with both the child and their entire family.

It’s always bittersweet to say goodbye. Behind every graduation are months or sometimes years of hard work, celebrating little wins, overcoming challenges, and watching confidence grow.

When our job is done, we know we’ve given that child and their family the tools and confidence they need to thrive beyond speech therapy. That’s always been the goal.

It’s beautiful, emotional, and one of the greatest privileges of what we do. We can’t wait to see all the amazing things this Little Talkers graduate accomplishes next.

One of the most rewarding parts of being an SLP is getting a front row seat to all of the amazing progress a child makes during speech therapy. 🤩

You see how hard they’re working, how dedicated their parents are, and how much intention goes into every session we plan. It all pays off.

At Little Talkers, we celebrate all progress, no matter how big or small. Because even the smallest wins can make a BIG impact.

Lydia and I sat down and reflected on so many awesome wins we were able to celebrate this week with our clients and their families. Here are some of those wins.

Hi! I’m Ashley, owner and speech-language pathologist at Little Talkers Speech Therapy. 👋

With so many new faces here, I realized it’s been a long time since I shared exactly what we do.

Little Talkers is a mobile pediatric speech therapy practice serving families in St. Louis County and St. Charles County. We provide play-based, neurodiversity-affirming services for children ages 0–5 in their natural environments—whether that’s at home, preschool, or daycare.

From late talkers and speech sound disorders to autism, AAC, and language delays, we’re here to support both children and the people who love them.

My goal has always been to provide family-centered, play-based therapy that meets children where they are and empowers parents along the way!

One of my favorite things about working with families is seeing the unique ways dads connect with their children.

The wrestling matches.
The chase games.
The silly voices.
The backyard adventures.
The “ready, set, go!” routines.

These playful moments are also rich opportunities for language development, connection, and communication.

Today we celebrate all of the dads and father figures who show up, play hard, and support their children every step of the way.

As a neurodiversity-affirming SLP, my goal is to support communication, connection, self-advocacy, and participation in ways that honor the autistic child.

That means I don’t force compliance or a work, then play approach.

Instead, I focus on building meaningful interactions, supporting communication in all forms, following a child’s interests, and partnering with caregivers to help skills carry over into everyday life.

Every child deserves support that respects their individuality while helping them develop the tools they need to communicate with the world around them.

That’s Little Talkers philosophy and approach. 💙
