On July 16, 2026, the Disabled American Veterans (DAV) Missouri Director Andrew Edwards presented a $100,000 donation to the VA St. Louis Health Care System Center for Development and Civic Engagement (CDCE), with $50,000 for John Cochran and $50,000 for Jefferson Barracks.

According to CDCE Chief Marcena Gunter, her team will seek input from staff and leadership to ensure the funds directly impact to quality of care for inpatient and enrolled Veterans of VA St. Louis.

Priorities may include wellness initiatives, diversional activities, and daily necessities. By focusing on areas of greatest impact, this gift will enhance the support our Veterans receive.

DAV Missouri’s continued support strengthens our collective effort to provide five-star care, compassion, and resources to those who have served our nation.

This donation allows us to continue improving Veteran care and services in areas that matter most.
