Today we had the honor of hand-delivering our National Gorgeous Grandma Day portraits to the beautiful ladies at Avista in Kingman. 💜 Each photo was printed, framed, and delivered door-to-door. Watching their faces light up all over again was something we’ll never forget. Moments like these remind us that the simplest acts of kindness can leave the biggest impact. We are only able to share a few photos in this post, but we will be adding more in the comments. Thank you to everyone who helped make this day so special. These are memories we’ll cherish forever. 📸✨

🌟 A little about Michelle:
Michelle recently joined her first amateur billiards league, where she plays Wednesday nights with her boyfriend as team captain. Their team is currently in second place! Outside of work, she loves spending time with family and friends, hosting cookouts and get-togethers, and most of all, being a proud nana.

This week, we’re proud to recognize David Wiss, our Volunteer Coordinator in Blue Springs, MO, who has been part of the Beacon of Hope Hospice family for 2.5 years.

What does hospice mean to you?
“Hospice, to me, is about preserving dignity, comfort, and compassion during life’s most difficult journey. It means ensuring that no one faces the end of life alone while supporting families with the care, guidance, and hope they need. Hospice is not about giving up—it’s about making every moment matter.”

A little about David:
Before joining Beacon of Hope Hospice, David proudly served 21 years on active duty in the U.S. Air Force, followed by 13 years as a civilian with the Department of Defense, deploying multiple times to Iraq, Afghanistan, and Africa. His lifelong commitment to serving others continues today through the compassionate support he provides to our patients, families, and volunteers.

What does hospice mean to you?
“Hospice is deeply personal to me. My dad was on hospice for only a few hours before he passed, but the compassion and support his care team gave my family left a lasting impact. That experience inspired me to become a hospice nurse so I could provide the same comfort, guidance, and care to patients and families during one of life’s most difficult moments.”

Fun Fact:
Morgan has been crocheting since she was 18 and loves creating everything from sweaters and blankets to stuffed toys and beanies. It’s her favorite way to unwind after a long day, and she even sells some of her handmade creations through her small business, Crochet by Morgan.
