What does hospice mean to you?
“Hospice is deeply personal to me. My dad was on hospice for only a few hours before he passed, but the compassion and support his care team gave my family left a lasting impact. That experience inspired me to become a hospice nurse so I could provide the same comfort, guidance, and care to patients and families during one of life’s most difficult moments.”

Fun Fact:
Morgan has been crocheting since she was 18 and loves creating everything from sweaters and blankets to stuffed toys and beanies. It’s her favorite way to unwind after a long day, and she even sells some of her handmade creations through her small business, Crochet by Morgan.

Meet Amanda Voorhees, RN Case Manager at our Galesburg, IL branch! Amanda has been part of the Beacon of Hope Hospice family for 2.5 years.

💙 What hospice means to Amanda:
“Hospice means helping patients and families through a difficult journey by providing guidance, emotional support, compassionate care, and letting them know they don’t have to walk this path alone.”

🌿 Fun fact:
Amanda enjoys spending time with family and friends, hosting get-togethers, cooking smoked foods, and spending time outdoors fishing, kayaking, and exploring.

Today we took a few of the gentlemen from Davis Place to cool off from this Arizona heat, and I’d say it was a success! Lots of laughs, smiles, and a great way to spend the afternoon together. It’s the little moments like these that make the best memories. 💙

A little behind the scenes from our Gorgeous Grandma Day photo shoot at Avista Senior Living in Kingman! 💜📸 Last week we had so much fun celebrating the incredible women who have spent a lifetime sharing their love, wisdom, and strength. There were lots of smiles, laughter, and special moments, and we can’t wait to share the finished portraits with you tomorrow!

💙 Community connections make all the difference!

We had a wonderful time joining the Dementia Connection of Havasu’s Memory Café for a fun-filled summer beach party! From seashell crafts and laughter to great food and meaningful conversations, it was a joy spending time with so many amazing community members.

A special thank you to Dementia Connection of Havasu and Vista Pointe at Lake Havasu for creating such a welcoming and engaging event. Beacon of Hope Hospice is proud to support opportunities that bring people together and celebrate connection, compassion, and community.
