It’s been a while since I’ve shared how I got here, and there’s lots of new folks around, so come on in and sit down for a story.

My story begins somewhere in the middle of the ocean. (Probably before that actually, but this is more dramatic, so stay with me.).

I was living my best life, performing on cruise ships all over the world. Then I fell in love and moved north to Canada.

Everything was pretty perfect, but I didn’t realize how hard moving to a new country could be. I began to feel very isolated. I gained quite a lot of weight and became depressed, regardless of my picture perfect life.

When I started this journey, I didn’t account for was the fact that this was going to change more than my physical appearance. When invited to our weekly Team Calls (on Zoom, before it was cool) I declined for a few weeks, but that pesky craving for connection crept in. I joined a call and was celebrated exactly how I was being celebrated in our support group. I was hooked. Go figure, the retired performer still loves applause.

Add in a healthy dose of mindset work and support, and I was on my way. I knew I had to do this for others because of the way it made me 𝘧𝘦𝘦𝘭.

A few years later, when my life was falling apart, I also decided to become a yoga teacher. It’s definitely no coincidence that in one of the worst years of my life, I chose not one, but two career paths that led me to serve others.

There have been some dips and some high points with my coaching career, but when the apocalypse hit and I had zero income from ships or yoga, this business remained. It helped me financially when I had no other income coming in. It helped me mentally because when my life was yet again in pieces, I could put down my s**t and focus on others for a while. It helped me stay connected when we were all isolated.

Today I feel as though I’ve come out the end of a dark, scary waterslide and thrust back out into the sunshine. I’m energized, I feel the aliveness flowing and I’m ready to help you feel the same.

Nice to meet you.

Get in bitch, we’re improving ourselves so we can help others lead happy, healthy and fulfilling lives.

One of my favorite parts of this business is how we are constantly encouraged to grow our minds. Just like I continue to be a student as I simultaneously teach yoga, I am constantly learning in this business.

As part of my daily business activities, I touch on a few facets of self improvement:

✨Meditation & Spirituality✨

✨Personal Mindset ✨

✨Business Mindset & Growth✨

✨Practical Business Tools✨

All of these not only help me move my business forward to create income, I can also utilize them in my other careers, which helps me round out my overall value and presence as a sassy, spiritual, self employed diva.

Not bad for (mostly) free resources that we all share, recommend and discover.

What are you learning right now? Let’s get a little book club going in the comments, share a book, podcast or other resource that’s helping you level up and live your best life!

Just over a week in and feeling incredible! I did stand on the scale on Saturday, and I’ve lost some weight but to be honest, I’m not worried about the number.

What I am definitely counting as progress is the fact that I could smile at myself in the mirror and snap this selfie in my new suit (swipe to see the auto). And then 𝘮𝘰𝘷𝘦 𝘰𝘯 with my day, not sit a pick myself apart and be worried the whole time I was poolside.

The mirror is a tricky thing for me and it’s a constant work in progress…but I am slowly slowly learning how to put more emphasis on how I 𝘧𝘦𝘦𝘭. And it feels so great to be able to teach this to others from my own experience.

So if you can’t quite smile yet, but you want to start on the path to feeling better, reach out and let’s chat. I can’t wait to work with you! 💕

*Obligatory International Yoga Day Post*

But seriously.

I can’t say how thankful I am to have stumbled into this practice, this community, this way of constantly learning and growing.

Practicing.

I don’t know how I managed to make some amazing decisions when I was younger, but I am so so happy that girl who was just trying to fit into her costumes between contracts decided this was a thing worth doing. How could she have known it would have been so life changing?

See you on your mats, friends.
