Happy National Speech-Language-Hearing Month to all those SLPs out there!!! I am so proud to call each and everyone of you my peers and colleagues. I hope you find time to celebrate this month and reflect on all that you have accomplished. The tremendous impact you have on the lives you touch and the vital role you play in caring for patients/students/residents with communication, voice, cognitive, hearing, and swallowing disorders is something to behold. So quit reading this and get out and celebrate yourselves speech folk!!!

This last weekend I had the pleasure of teaching an advanced FEES CEU course to a wonderful group of SLPs from Missouri Baptist Medical Center and Barnes–Jewish West County Hospital. I was deeply honored to be in the presence of so many great SLPs and endoscopists and grateful for the opportunity to share some FEES knowledge with everyone!!

Wanted to have a little fun with FEES today and show off the versatility of using FEES to evaluate swallow function in a new segment called "NAME THAT BOLUS!!!" One of the advantages of using FEES is the ability to trial any and all foods the patient and therapist want to attempt.
