Have you ever made rice water before?!

I make this once a week and I swear by it (along with all the other concoctions that I post 😂)

Rice water leaves my hair feeling SO soft, smooth, and shiny! It also helps support scalp health, hair strength, and can help reduce breakage!

Rice water is rich in amino acids which is what helps support stronger hair, and contains vitamins and minerals that nourish the hair and scalp. It has been used for centuries in various cultures as a traditional hair treatment 🥰

My favorite way to use it is to completely saturate my hair, leave it on for about 2 hours, then hop in the shower and rinse it out.

Here’s how I make mine: (approximately- I eyeball it)
🍚 ½ cup organic white rice
💧 1 cup water
🌿 Fresh rosemary (I add this because I love it for scalp care)

I rinse the rice off once, then I let the rice and water sit in a bowl for about 24 hours, stirring occasionally. Then I strain it, pour it into a glass jar, and store it in the refrigerator. It stays fresh for about 1 week.

There are lots of different ways to make rice water, but this is the method that I personally like to use. 😊

I also enjoy using it on my face! It feels incredibly refreshing and leaves my skin feeling clean, soft, and hydrated.

Hi everyone, I know it’s been a while, and I hope you’re all doing well.

Treatment has been harder than I ever imagined it would be. I’ve been struggling pretty badly, especially with depression lately. I’ve never felt so misunderstood, alone, and exhausted from life before especially from something that’s completely out of my control.

This isn’t about being strong. Every day feels like a fight just to survive. I’m still doing treatment 2x every day, and driving myself all over the place for appointments Monday through Friday.

This is why I’ve been off social media and will most likely continue to be. I just wanted to give you all an update.

To the people who have continued checking in on me, thank you and I appreciate you more than you’ll ever know.

It’s been a long road, but I’m trying to stay focused on the progress I’ve made rather than how far I still have to go. 🙏💖🌿

Last night I decided to teach myself how to make bread and it’s safe to say that I will never buy store bought again lol. This is honey butter white sandwich bread, it came out absolutely amazing!

I’ve been dealing with full body aches and pain all day, so I just whipped up one of my favorite remedies (concoction 😂) that I like to call my “Detox Bath”.
I especially love doing this when I’m feeling run down or sick, (it really helps with toxins and PH) but tonight I tweaked it a bit to specifically target soreness and inflammation.

I used a mix of:
• Epsom salt- Eucalyptus & Peppermint and Lavender
• Dead Sea salt
• Black lava salt
• Indian healing clay- Bentonite clay
• Baking soda
• Apple cider vinegar

I like to make the water pretty hot so it really helps relax the muscles and ease tension, but I’m careful not to stay in too long, no more than 20 minutes. I also always keep a bottle of water nearby and make sure I’m well hydrated before and after.
I also focused more on the pain & less of the detox part tonight… if I’m sick I really concentrate on the detox portions and you WILL break a sweat while doing it!! 🥵🥵🥵

Just got out and I already feel so much better!! 🥰🙌🛁🌿

(This bath may not be for everyone; but it’s what I personally enjoy and have been doing for years)

Let’s talk about ADVOCACY! 🗣️

Advocating for your health is not optional, it is necessary. It is one of the most important things you will ever do. No one knows your body like you do, and you should never feel like you have to stay silent when something doesn’t feel right.

It can be exhausting, frustrating, and overwhelming to keep pushing for answers, but you can’t give up! Keep asking questions. Keep showing up for yourself. Keep speaking up until you are heard.

Your life matters. Your health matters. Your voice matters. And you are absolutely worth the fight that it sometimes takes to get the help, care, clarity, and recognition that you truly deserve.

You are your own strongest advocate, don’t let anyone convince you otherwise. 💯💪🗣️🙌❤️‍🩹

Is it just me OR do different colored eggs taste different?! I know….. everyone says they don’t but I’m convinced those are the same people who say different shaped pasta all tastes the same 😂
I just LOVE my blue eggs the most, then the brown, then the white 🤷‍♀️ 🩵🤎🤍

Had to stop here yesterday to fill up my water jugs again! It’s the only place I get my water from!!

If you’re like me and don’t drink tap water and you’re in the Stafford area, I 100% recommend checking out Schofield Spring to get some mineral spring water!
It’s only $1 a gallon and the best tasting water you can get your hands on (in my opinion). 💦💦💦
