Sometimes, one supportive person can make a new chapter feel possible.

A client recently shared this about Brook, one of our Recovery Peers: “Brook has been more than a great peer counselor that has helped me help myself…”

From help finding housing funding, auto parts, and childcare to regular check-ins and support through a major move, Brook helped this client find stability, connection, and a sense of home.

Their words say it best: “The transition period had the potential to be overwhelming. But instead it has been the beginning of the best part of my life.”

This is what peer support can look like. Meeting people where they are, walking alongside them, and helping them find the resources and confidence to move forward.

A veces, una persona que te apoye puede hacer que un nuevo capítulo parezca posible.

Un cliente compartió recientemente lo siguiente sobre Brook, una de nuestras compañeras de recuperación: “Brook ha sido mucho más que una excelente consejera que me ha ayudado a ayudarme a mí mismo…”.

Desde ayuda para encontrar financiamiento para vivienda, repuestos para el auto y cuidado infantil, hasta seguimientos regulares y apoyo durante una mudanza importante, Brook ayudó a este cliente a encontrar estabilidad, conexión y un sentido de hogar.

Sus palabras lo resumen a la perfección: “El período de transición podría haber sido abrumador. Pero en cambio, ha sido el comienzo de la mejor etapa de mi vida”.

Así es como se manifiesta el apoyo entre pares: acompañar a las personas en su proceso, caminar a su lado y ayudarlas a encontrar los recursos y la confianza para seguir adelante.
