Spent the morning at the Verona Triathlon and thoroughly enjoyed being part of the local endurance community.

It was a beautiful day to be outside, watch athletes compete, and connect with others who share a passion for staying active. As a physical therapist and endurance athlete, these events are a great reminder of why I started Durare Physical Therapy & Wellness to help active adults continue doing the activities they love.

Congratulations to everyone who raced today, and thank you to the organizers, volunteers, and spectators who made the event possible.

Looking forward to supporting more local endurance events in the future.

Endure. Heal. Thrive.

I'm looking forward to supporting athletes and being part of another great Wisconsin endurance event.

Good luck to everyone racing this weekend; I can't wait to cheer you on!

Wisconsin triathlon season is officially underway.

I had the opportunity to volunteer at the Lake Mills Triathlon and spend the morning supporting athletes as they kicked off their race season.

One of my favorite things about endurance sports is the community: athletes, volunteers, spectators, and race directors all coming together around a shared challenge.

Good luck to everyone training and racing this summer. Looking forward to following along.

Madison Bike Week 2026 is one of those events that reminds me how strong the movement and endurance community is around here.

Whether people are riding for training, commuting, fitness, or just getting outside more, it’s always great seeing more people moving and staying active throughout the week.

That consistency and community aspect is a big part of what makes endurance sports so rewarding.

Tightness isn’t always caused by a lack of flexibility.

A lot of runners and active adults already stretch consistently, but still feel the same areas tightening back up during training.

In many cases, strength, control, and load tolerance play a much bigger role than simply stretching more.

I’ll be back at Anytime Fitness in Stoughton on May 28, offering free injury screens for members 5-7pm.

These sessions are designed to help identify what may be contributing to lingering discomfort, recurring tightness, or training limitations.

Sometimes small adjustments early make a much bigger difference later.

Most active adults aren’t training in perfect conditions.

They’re balancing work, schedules, fatigue, stress, and trying to stay consistent at the same time.

That’s why rehab and training plans need to fit real life, not ideal circumstances.

Consistency usually matters more than perfection.

I’ll be away from the clinic for a short period, but the same principles still apply: consistency, adaptation, and building capacity over time.

Progress doesn’t come from perfect weeks.

It comes from continuing to move forward, even when things look a little different.

Flare-ups happen, especially when training volume or intensity changes.

The goal isn’t to ignore it or shut everything down completely.

Small adjustments and paying attention to how symptoms respond over the next 24–48 hours can guide your next step.

Progress usually comes from adjusting, not stopping.

This has been my busiest month so far, and honestly it’s been really exciting to see.

This has been my busiest month so far, and honestly, it’s been really exciting to see and figure out how to move forward with more clarity.

A lot of the same patterns continue to show up: uncertainty around what to do next, or how to stay consistent without things flaring up again.

That’s where having a clear plan tends to make the biggest difference.
