Regulation before Expectation 🙌 In OT we use the “Zones” to help us understand how the body looks, feels, and acts when feeling the spectrum of emotions.

❤️ Red Zone 💥
- Out of control
- Angry, frustrated, moving fast
- No thoughts just feeling (we cannot problem solve in this zone)
- All about safety

🧡 Orange Zone 🌋
- Losing control
- Ask for help before you explode
- Coregulation
- Upset, confused, moving quickly

💛 Yellow Zone 🤪
- Silly, moving fast, thinking fast
- May feel uncomfortable/ Wiggly

💚 Green Zone 😊
- Calm, happy, focused
- Ready to learn

🩵 Blue Zone 😴
- Sad, tired, sick
- Moving slow
- Hard to think
