Here's a simple habit that can make an aging parent's medical appointments much more productive:

Keep one running note on your phone between visits.

Add the questions that come up. Changes you've noticed. New symptoms. Medication concerns. Things your parent mentions once and then forgets about.

By the time an appointment arrives weeks or months later, you aren't trying to remember everything in the parking lot.

One of our favorite things about the kitchen at Evergreen Gardens is all the seating around it.

Because kitchens aren't only where meals are made.

They're where someone sits down to see what's cooking. Where coffee turns into conversation. Where you can be part of what's happening without anything needing to be planned.

We wanted our kitchen to function the way kitchens do in real homes: as a natural gathering place.

And that's exactly what it has become. 💚
