The Sentinel is helping one of our residents find an employment opportunity that fits his interests and strengths.

He has a genuine passion for the outdoors and would be an excellent fit for work involving hunting clubs, wildlife properties, land management, conservation projects, farms, ranches, or caretaker positions. He enjoys hunting, fishing, and working outside, and is looking for an opportunity where he can contribute and build a future.

As an added benefit, he also has carpentry experience and can assist with maintenance, repairs, improvements, and general property upkeep.

If you know of a hunting club, landowner, outdoor operation, conservation organization, or similar opportunity that may be a good fit, please contact me.

Today, on Mother’s Day, we honor all mothers who pour themselves out in love, sacrifice, patience, and prayer. But above all earthly examples stands the Most Holy Theotokos — the Mother of God. Theotokos

She did not seek glory, recognition, or power. She answered God with humility: “Be it unto me according to thy word.” Through her obedience, Christ took flesh and entered the world.

The Theotokos is the image of true motherhood — quiet strength, purity, endurance, compassion, and unwavering faithfulness to God even at the foot of the Cross. She carried sorrow deeper than most can imagine, yet remained steadfast in trust and love.

In a world that often reduces motherhood to convenience or sentiment, the Mother of God reminds us that motherhood is sacred. It is sacrifice. It is nurture. It is protection. It is intercession. It is love that gives without demanding recognition.

May all mothers be blessed today, strengthened in their labors, and comforted in their struggles. And may the prayers of the Most Holy Theotokos cover every home, every child, and every mother seeking peace, healing, and grace.

We’re grateful to share that The Sentinel is opening a second house.

This step forward is only possible because of the love, support, and encouragement we’ve received from our community. Arkansas County has been at the center of our success, and we are deeply thankful for our hometown and the people who continue to stand with us.

With this new house, we will be able to welcome five more individuals into a place of stability, growth, and purpose.

As we prepare the home, we are working to furnish each bedroom. The cost is $300 per person. If anyone would like to help us meet this need, your support would directly impact the lives of those stepping into a new chapter.
