If we want to effect positive change, we must resist this cultural toxin for our children. Choose the health of your child, not social conformity and a digital (evanescent) emotional regulator that sets the stage for an addiction.
Over the past few years, I have found the need to include questions about screen time habits in initial assessments.

The Dolly Parton Imagination Library has expanded to offer bilingual selections to children up to the age of five. Click the link to find out if your area is eligible. Note that some organizations, such as Books Between Kids, partner with the DPIL to reach those in non-participating regions.

Get this! DPIL launched their bilingual English/Spanish option in California in June 2023 and now are now expanding into all remaining states in the USA! If you are currently enrolled in Dolly Parton's Imagination Library, you can switch to the fully bilingual English-Spanish program. Click the link below to find out how.

Protect your children and their future. No, children do not need (and have never needed) the addiction of phones and social media. If your middle school or high school student could benefit from a phone for transportation, consider basic flip phones offered by Charity Mobile. https://charitymobile.com/products/phones?filter=Basic%20Phone

If we are concerned about the neurological, psychological, language, spiritual, and physical development of our children, we must swim against the cultural current and boldly speak up against all forms of screen time, especially smart phones. Please choose your child's present and future over social conformity and status... If your middle school child "needs" a phone for transportation, try a dumb phone.
