Parents, Charter Schools & Private Schools: IDTS Mobile Wellness & Screening Services provides convenient 12-lead EKG heart rhythm screening for student-athletes using SmartHeart technology.

❤️ What we provide:
• Mobile 12-lead EKG recording
• Cardiologist interpretation available through the SmartHeart platform
• Electronic results report
• Results can be shared with the athlete's healthcare provider with appropriate authorization

⚠️ Important: This is a screening service—not a sports physical, medical examination, diagnosis, treatment, or athletic clearance. An EKG provides a snapshot of the heart's electrical activity at the time of the recording. It does not replace evaluation by the athlete's physician or other qualified healthcare provider and does not rule out every possible heart condition.

If a result warrants further evaluation, the athlete and parent/guardian should follow up with their healthcare provider.

Florida's Second Chance Act (SB 1070) requires all high school student-athletes to undergo an electrocardiogram (EKG or ECG) heart screening before they are allowed to practice, try out, or compete in sports.

Who Must Get the EKG?

Under the Florida High School Athletic Association (FHSAA) guidelines, the rule specifically mandates a one-time screening for:

All incoming 9th-grade student-athletes.

Students in grades 10–12 who are joining a school-sanctioned sport for the very first time.
