September is Su***de Prevention Month.

Having thoughts about su***de doesn’t mean something is wrong with you — it means you’re in pain, and pain deserves care, not shame. You don’t have to be in crisis to reach out. A hard week is reason enough.

If you’re struggling, please don’t carry it alone.

📌 Save this. Share it with someone who might need it. Please reach out to My Therapy Connection if you or someone you know is struggling. Check on friends!

September is National su***de prevention month. Education IS prevention. Staying informed about signs and signals can be life saving for someone in distress.

We will be taking some time this month to spread awareness, share coping skills, and ensure that everyone who may be feeling out of options knows they are not alone.

Let’s create a sense of community and caring for our neighbors this month! Start by checking in on friends and loved ones, especially those who never reach out for help. Show kindness to strangers just to add light to someone’s day.

If you or someone you know is struggling with mental health, please reach out to My Therapy Connection today to be matched with a clinician that best suits your needs 💚

As Grief Awareness Month comes to an end, it’s important to remember that grief doesn’t look the same for everyone. ❤️

Grief can come in many forms: the loss of a loved one, the end of a relationship, a major life transition, the loss of a dream, or even changes we never expected. Every experience is valid, and every grief journey is different.

There is no “right” way to grieve, and there is no set timeline for healing. Wherever you are in your journey, you don’t have to navigate it alone. My Therapy Connection is here to provide comfort, hope, and healing through every stage of grief.

If you or someone you love is struggling with grief, we’re here to help. 🤍

💙 August is Grief Awareness Month.

Grief isn’t a straight line. There’s no timeline, no “right” way to grieve, and no set order of emotions you’re supposed to feel.

Some days may feel heavy. Other days may bring moments of peace, laughter, or even joy, and that’s okay, too. Whatever you’re feeling, wherever you are in your journey, your feelings are valid.

At My Therapy Connection, we’re here to remind you that you don’t have to navigate grief alone. Whether your loss is recent or happened years ago, we’re here to support you through every stage of your grief journey. 🤍

There is no right way to grieve. There is only your way.

Grief unfortunately can touch all ages. It can be especially difficult to explain this feeling or process this feeling for children.

In children grief can look like anger, sadness, behavior changes, regression (such as acting younger than they are), and many other ways! As we know, we all experience grief in our own unique way.

One of our clinicians, Shannon, would like to share these resources to work with children who are experiencing grief. Shannon is currently taking adult clients experience grief and/or trauma. Understanding your child’s emotions can be easier when you begin to understand your own.

If you or someone you know is experiencing grief, please reach out to my therapy connection today to be matched with a clinician who is most fitting for you.

Grief isn't something we "get over." It's something we learn to carry, and it can look different from one person to the next.
For children, grief may show up through play, big emotions, clinginess, trouble sleeping, or behavior changes. For teens, it may look like withdrawal, irritability, or trying to act like they're okay. For adults, it can show up as exhaustion, anger, guilt, numbness, or difficulty concentrating.
There is no right timeline. No right emotion. No right way to grieve.
This National Grief Awareness Day, let's make space for conversations that remind children and families:
🤍 Your feelings are welcome here.
🤍 It's okay to ask for help.
🤍 Healing doesn't mean forgetting.
🤍 You don't have to carry grief alone.
Sometimes the greatest gift we can offer someone who is grieving isn't the perfect words—it's our presence.
If someone came to mind while reading this, send them a little extra love today. 💜

Today is National Friendship Day! When it comes to mental health, having or developing a support system is a key part of positive mental health!

Building and having friendship can help lower stress, increase positive thinking, increase confidence, and reaching out to others is a great coping skill!

Although friendship is helpful, sometimes it can be more difficult for some to make and maintain these forms of relationships. If you or someone you know is struggling with socializing, relationships, isolation, loneliness, etc. please reach out to My Therapy Connection to be matched with a clinician that best suits your needs!
