🎨 Why I Choose to Stay – Community Art Night
Thursday, August 6 | 5:30–7:30 PM
TACID : 6315 S. 19th St., Tacoma
Join us for a free evening of creativity, reflection, and connection as we create artwork inspired by the reasons we choose hope. Together, participants will contribute to a community art display while making space for meaningful conversations about mental health, resilience, and belonging. No artistic experience is necessary—just bring yourself.
We’re also currently seeking donations of art supplies, including acrylic paint, paint brushes, colored pencils, plain paper, glue, and old magazines. If your organization or someone you know is interested in donating supplies, we’d love to connect.

At DEEL, our hearts are with all the members of our community who were impacted by the tragic events at Seattle Center during the Bite of Seattle.

In moments like this, when so many are left to process the grief, fear, and trauma of bearing witness to incidents of gun violence, we want to take a moment to remind our city that Seattle youth ages 13 to 24 can find support now with free therapy through one of our partners:

- Asian Counseling and Referral Service (ACRS)
- Counseling and Referral
- Odessa Brown Children's Clinic
-
- Seneca Family of Agencies
- Southwest Youth And Family Services
- Talkspace
- Therapy Fund Foundation

Learn more and find free care now at www.seattle.gov/youthmentalhealth.

Please share with those closest to you, especially any young person who may need care, someone who can listen and offer support as they process this tragic loss. It’s okay to ask for help. You deserve to be heard, seen, and find the care that you need.
