Doula Deb

Doula Deb Birth, Postpartum & Sleep Doula: Compassionate Doula Care, Elevating Your Parenthood Experience My approach is simple.

I believe that every family should receive comprehensive care, starting from pregnancy, continuing through childbirth, and lasting as your family grows. Since 2008, I have been working as a professional doula, providing holistic care that meets your family's needs in every aspect, and guiding you as your family grows. My entry into the perinatal field in 2008 was a pivotal moment in my life. From

the moment I discovered this calling, I knew it was my true purpose. In just three months, I completed professional doula training, leaving behind a successful career to pursue a new path that has changed my life forever. Today, as I balance my family responsibilities, my passion for supporting other families has only deepened. I have not only witnessed but also personally experienced the gap that often exists between families and the care they receive during this critical period of transition. My mission is to bridge that gap and provide the unwavering support that every family deserves during this transformative time.

🎙️ New Episode of Doula Talk is Live, and this one opens a door we don't talk about enough.

Cannabis and parenthood.

It's a conversation a lot of families are already having quietly, but rarely with access to real information, real research, and zero judgment.

This week I sat down with public health researcher Dr. Amanda Reiman, who brings over 20 years of experience to the table, for an honest, grounded conversation about cannabis and its role in postpartum recovery, sleep, anxiety, and women's health.

No fear. No blanket answers. Just clarity, context, and the kind of conversation you actually deserve to have. 💛

If you've spent any time in the "is this normal or should I be worried?" spiral, you're not alone. That's one of the most common things families bring to me.

A one-time consult is a great place to start. We slow things down, look at what's actually happening, and help you find your footing again.

No long-term commitment. Just clarity. 💛

You don't have to choose between trusting yourself and getting support.

Sometimes your gut is right and you need someone to help you act on it.

Sometimes your anxiety is loud and you need someone to help you settle it.

Either way, you don't have to figure it out alone. 💛

Consistency without support? That’s just pressure dressed up as a plan.
Schedules can help—but only when your system is ready for them.
If it’s making feeding more stressful, it’s not a failure… it’s a signal.

One of the most common things I hear from new parents:

"I don't know if I'm worried because something is actually wrong — or because I'm just anxious."

That question is so valid. And the answer matters.

This week we're talking about anxiety vs. intuition — what each one feels like in your body, how to tell them apart, and why that distinction is one of the most useful tools you can have in the first year.

,
We spent April talking about feeding ...because when feeding feels hard, everything feels hard.
But this month we're zooming out.

Because your mental load, your nervous system, your sense of self — those aren't separate from your baby's care. They're central to it.

May is Mental Health Awareness Month, and all month long, we're going to talk about the stuff that often gets pushed to the bottom of the list.

Anxiety. Burnout. Identity. What it actually means to get support, and how to access it.

You deserve care, too. Not eventually. Now. 💛

I've been quietly supporting other doulas for a while now, and I think it's time I actually said something about it. 😄

Whether you have a difficult client situation and need a second set of experienced eyes, you're navigating a tricky business decision, or you're just starting out and want guidance from someone who's been in the trenches — I'm here for that.

This work is hard. And even doulas need support sometimes.

A discovery call is always free. From there, pricing matches my virtual consult rates so it's accessible and straightforward.

If this is something you've been needing, drop a 🙋 in the comments or send me a DM. I'd love to connect.

A lot of feeding advice can help… but not always right away.

If everything feels harder after adding more structure, it’s not because you’re doing it wrong.

It might just be too much, too soon.

✨ The question isn’t “what else should I try?”
It’s “is this system ready for it?”

Feeding doesn’t get easier from doing more.

It gets easier when the right things are happening at the right time.

And in early postpartum?

That usually looks like:
– Less pressure
– More observation
– Gentle rhythms instead of rigid schedules

You’re not behind.
You’re just in the part no one explains well.

✨ feeding rhythms
✨ fourth trimester
✨ real support
