Every hypermobile and EDS body is unique. Some days may be okay, others involve a lot of pain.

PT should be flexible and adjust for those daily/weekly/monthly changes.

If you are a PT, PTA, or ATC: we have courses for treating hypermobile athletes or treating the hypermobile shoulder.

Preventing heat-related illness (especially in western WA).

Do you talk with patients about environmental factors that may impact their health? Is that a PT's responsibility?

Physical therapy has it's ups and downs. As much as we want, we don't progress in a linear fashion.

SkyePT focuses on you, as an individual, and ensures the whole body is working together. Treating just the hamstring per the protocols is fine AND we need to treat the hamstring as part of the whole body. Past injuries can affect current healing.

Link in bio for more info. We have PT appointments in-person in Western WA or telehealth for select states.

How do you get climbers back to climbing if you don't understand what their body has to do?

Our CEU courses cover terminology, let you experience rock climbing, and incorporate evidence-informed research for treating climbing injuries.

Link in bio for Rock Climbing CEU courses for PTs, PTAs, and ATCs.

Also, we treat climbers, virtually or in-person in South Puget Sound.

Movement shouldn't hurt. PT should guide from non-painful movement to your ideal functional movement.

Soemdays it feels like your still making things up.

Spend a weekend with SkyePT Education to work on bridging the gap between research and YOUR patients (you know the ones excluded from research studies).

In addition to a very interactive course (discussion, case studies, application of concepts, the "how to apply this knowledge"), you get a professionally guided experience.

Choose between rafting for shoulder, rock climbing for hands/wrists/knees/ankles, and gymnastics for hypermobility.

Comment CEUs for more info about these approved CEU courses for PT, PTA, and ATC.
