At MoonRise we offer equine psychotherapy along with other therapeutic and educational equine activities. All ages can enjoy and benefit from playing with horses and we can adapt the experience to meet your needs and goals. Our overall hope is to increase awareness and connection with not only the horse but also one's self, others and our earth! We work with individuals, groups, schools, families

Today, Makata made a quiet visit with Sienna to Bart’s memorial garden, spending time beside the place where we continue to honor and remember him.

Spirit touched the lives of so many participants, volunteers, staff, and families. Through quiet moments, her gentle presence, and the relationships she helped foster, she brought confidence, comfort, and healing to those around her.

We are grateful for the time we shared and for the memories that will remain part of MoonRise for years to come.

During Individual Horse Connections participants learn the fundamentals of horse care and handling while developing strong, trusting partnerships with a variety of horses. Through these experiences, participants often report increases in self-confidence, a sense of being seen and heard, and the joy of being part of an inclusive, supportive community. The program encourages participants to step out of their comfort zones, take risks, and try new things, all in a safe and welcoming environment. Such gratitude to this supportive participant as she helps with equipment training. She began with establishing a nice calm connection with touch and voice and then moved to introduce equipment that the horse will welcome into their space and feel comfortable with.
