Sri Ramakrishna’s Secret

Form is here as a guide to that we seek.
But ice melts to water we cannot keep.
The trouble is our grasp so firm and tight.
We cannot keep God, try as we might.

The answer is to swim in the ocean of bliss.
But even words fail in explaining this.
For water doesn’t swim or float, you see
If you want to see God, you have to just be.

The ice is the form, the answer to prayer.
When you are alone, suddenly God is there.
When knowledge arrives, ice melts with the sun.
But don’t be dismayed or grieve your loved ones.

Your loved one is God as are you and me.
And God is still there all around, it’s the sea.
As form, God is love come to soothe, to teach.
Don’t seek after God always out of reach.

Just be as you are—possibilities.
You are the earth, a bird, the trees.
Form as ice melts away, now a limitless sea
The sun of knowledge sets the form free.

I like thinking about musculoskeletal pain in terms of side of body and chakra level. If it’s on the left it’s about yielding. If it’s on the right, it’s about taking control. If it’s the feet through the hips going up the body, it’s about safety and stability. If it’s the hips, it’s about sexuality or a feeling of boredom or being stuck. If it’s the core, it’s about power and self confidence. If it’s the heart, it’s about love, relationships and compassion. If it’s the throat, neck, or ears, it’s about knowing when to be quiet or to speak up or express grief; or about listening. If it’s the eyes and forehead, it’s about intuition. If it’s the top of the head, it’s about spirituality.

Examples: A pain on the left ribs is about yielding your power. A pain of your right shoulder may mean a conflict or pain of loss of a parent or spouse.

The body is an amazingly complex and wonderful system ❤️
