Sometimes choosing yourself only takes two or three minutes.

Today, it looked like making a simple shake with almond milk, beet powder and protein powder, just a small decision to pause and give my body something nourishing.

Taking care of yourself doesn’t always require a big plan. Sometimes it’s one small choice made in the middle of an ordinary day,and those choices add up.

When I created Protein Parlor, one thing mattered to me: it had to taste good with water, not only milk.

Because milk isn’t always available, and some people simply don’t like it. For this Cookies & Cream shake, I used water, ice, and protein powder, then mixed it with my frother.

That’s it,creamy taste and 20+ grams of protein in just a few minutes.

But you don’t have to take my word for it. Try a 7-serving sample bag for just $5 and taste it for yourself.

I’m turning 48 at the end of this month, and I can’t imagine where I would be if I hadn’t decided to stop jumping from one thing to the next in search of faster results.

Today, I’m no longer interested in an all-or-nothing approach to health.

I want to nourish my body, enjoy the life Allah has given me, and care for a body that has carried me through childbirth, PMOS, Hashimoto’s, hypothyroidism, fatigue, and so many different seasons of womanhood.

That doesn’t mean I have everything figured out. It means I’m learning to pay attention, make supportive choices, and find practical ways to care for myself without making food or health feel like another burden.

That’s part of why I created Protein Parlor—to give women simpler, more enjoyable ways to add protein to the lives they’re already living.

So if you’re also tired of starting over, chasing quick results, or feeling like taking care of yourself has to be complicated, come say hello. 🤎

You may have just found your kind of community.

Protein made practical. ✨

Good protein shouldn’t be something you have to convince yourself to drink. 😅

Protein Parlor was created to make getting more protein feel practical and enjoyable, because taste matters too.

And if you’ve been curious but aren’t ready to commit to a full tub yet, sample bundles are available.

Which flavor would you try first? 👀

Found an old clip of one of my fall favorites 🍂🎃

These pumpkin protein squares used to be one of my most-loved recipes when I was doing markets.

And seeing this again reminded me how much of Protein Parlor has really been built through experimenting.

Back then, I was still figuring things out.
Trying recipes.
Testing flavors.
Learning what people enjoyed.
And honestly, not always feeling as confident as I do now.

But I kept creating anyway.

Sometimes you don’t realize you’re building something while you’re in the middle of it.

Now I’m looking back at these like… maybe they deserve a comeback. 👀

Should I bring the pumpkin protein squares back for fall?

Try-It Thursday ☕️

I think sometimes protein powder gets misunderstood.

It’s not meant to replace every meal.

And it’s not something you only need if you’re trying to bulk up or live in the gym.

For me, it’s a practical way to add protein to something I was already going to have.

Like coffee.

Some days I’m able to sit down and make a full meal exactly the way I want.

Other days, I want something quick, enjoyable and easy to fit into what I’m already doing.

That’s where protein powder can be useful.

This Cookies & Cream Shaken Espresso gives me the coffee I wanted and adds protein without turning it into another complicated thing to manage.

For this one I used:

☕️ 2 oz espresso
🥛 About 4 oz almond milk
🤎 1 scoop Protein Parlor Cookies & Cream Dream
✨ 1 tsp sugar-free brown sugar cinnamon syrup
🧊 Ice

Shake the almond milk, protein powder and syrup together, pour your espresso over ice, then add your mixture.

Simple.

And maybe that’s the shift:

Protein powder doesn’t have to become another thing in your routine. It can simply help fill a gap in the routine you already have.

Save this one if you want to try it. 🤎

What’s the biggest question you still have about protein powder ?

Self-care doesn’t always have to look like slowing everything down or setting aside an entire day for yourself.

Sometimes it’s much simpler than that.

Sometimes it’s choosing something you genuinely enjoy and finding a way to make it support you too.

For me, that can look like turning my coffee into something a little more satisfying instead of just grabbing whatever is quickest and moving on with my day.

That’s exactly what I did with this Cookies & Cream Shaken Espresso. ☕️🤎

A little coffee.
A little something fun.
And protein added in a way that still feels easy and enjoyable.

Because taking care of yourself can show up in the everyday choices too.

It doesn’t always have to be dramatic to count.

What’s one small choice you make that feels like self-care to you?

When I set out to create my own protein powder, I knew I wanted it to be a practical part of my life.

I didn’t want to feel like I had to drink the same protein shake every single day just to stay consistent.

My non-negotiable was making sure I had something I could actually use in different ways — depending on the day, my mood, and what sounded good.

Sometimes that looks like a shake.

Sometimes it’s coffee.

Sometimes it’s chai with protein cold foam.

Sometimes it’s something completely different.

That’s why Protein Parlor was never meant to live only in a shaker bottle.

For me, practical nutrition means having options that make taking care of myself easier, not more repetitive, complicated, or boring.

Because the easier something fits into real life, the easier it is to keep coming back to it.

What would you be more likely to use protein powder in coffee, chai, a shake, or a recipe?

You ever have those days? You know, the kind that makes eating, resting and even deciding what you want feel difficult. That’s me today. Woke up with a massive migraine.

I also know that when I don’t eat anything, I usually end up feeling even worse.

So instead of pressuring myself to make a full meal or even a full protein shake, I asked myself: What feels manageable right now?

Today, it was a warm cup of decaf chai topped with a creamy Vanilla Bean Bliss protein foam. ☕️

It wasn’t something I planned. Chai was simply what sounded comforting, so I listened to my body and found a practical way to add some protein to it.

Living with migraines has taught me that caring for myself won’t always look perfectly planned or put together. Some days I can prepare balanced meals and make intentional choices. Other days, I have to slow down, work with the capacity I have and focus on what I can control.

I used to compare myself to people who seemed able to follow their routines without dealing with the things my body goes through. But this is my body, and I’m learning to care for it according to the way it moves, feels and operates.

Today, nourishment looked like warm chai and a little cloud of protein cream, and that was enough for this moment. 🤎

Protein made practical, even on the hard days.
