Yesterday, we celebrated National Dog Day by sharing some adorable pictures of our families' and staff members' beloved dogs with our residents.
There were plenty of smiles, stories, and "awww's" as we enjoyed seeing all of our furry friends! Our residents loved putting faces to the pets they hear so much about.

Our celebrations are always beautiful. Its not just the decor, its not just the food, it's beautiful in the way that leaves you smiling long after its over, like a dream you awake from that still lingers in your heart. But its not a dream, our lives here are very much real and filled with a joy that surrounds us in every moment. There was an air of excitement at The Meridian all day long. Residents were asking, “What should I wear?” “What time should I be there?” and wondering what awaited them this evening. And then the soirée began...we were transported to Marrakech with a beautiful display of handmade Moroccan plates created by our residents, a fascinating live reptile encounter, delicious food, music, and beautiful belly dancing with residents and staff. There was laughter, dancing, pictures being taken to remember the evening, and plenty of time spent simply enjoying one another. And that's what makes our Dinner Club so special. Month after month, we've become accustomed to these little magical escapes, experiencing new cultures, new foods, new traditions, and traveling to faraway places without ever leaving home. We always know it will be a beautiful experience, but somehow, each month manages to feel a little different and a little more magical. Another beautiful evening. Another new adventure. Another memory made together.

Our final night was spent in Celebration...well...celebrating! Yes there is a Celebration, Florida, a quaint little Disney town, and it was the perfect end to our epic adventure. A beautiful family dinner at Reggiano's, delicious ice cream and a sing-a-long ride home to Kool and the Gang "Celebrate" was exactly what we needed to close out our time together. Tomorrow we head home after a final farewell breakfast, but on this trip, we found our own version of home. Not a place, but a feeling. A mix of comfort, trust and a warmth that filled our hearts. We'll have tales to tell when we return, but even better, we'll have this beautiful feeling of friendship and joy that we'll pass on to everyone around us.

Halfway through Day 2 of our getaway and we continue to find our little slice of heaven together. We started the day with a delicious homemade breakfast at the house, then hit the pool for all the Florida vibes we could handle; palm trees, pool, and sunshine. We did a little shopping, then made our way back to the house for a delicious backyard BBQ! The day is still young, and this group loves a good adventure! We're set to create another chapter in our epic journey!

Sometimes the best adventures aren't about where you go, they're about the memories you make together. Day 1 of our 3-day, 2-night getaway is complete! We kicked things off with lunch at Disney Springs' Rainforest Café before settling into our incredible themed Airbnb complete with pool. After a light family dinner, we explored the beautiful Solara Resort and ended the day anticipating what tomorrow will bring; a relaxing day on the resort, a backyard BBQ, and an evening in the charming town of Celebration, Florida. If perfect exists, we think we're finding it... one memory at a time.

Our Friday adventures took us to one of the newest Tampa establishments, Texas De Brazil, a meat lovers heaven! Part fine dining, part comedy as they brought out rack after rack of delicious meats while we wondered who would be the first to tap out of the experience. Just when one plate was finished, the meats just kept coming, along with the laughs! The faces were priceless, the food delicious and the reactions to the "parade of meats" is a memory that will not be forgotten. Another Friday adventure in the books, another moment to savor this life that we have created.

We often talk about the idea that our residents are still becoming. Still becoming what? Whatever they want. Bob is a perfect example. In the wee hours of the night, while most of us are asleep, Bob has been teaching himself the art of balloon twisting. What began as a simple curiosity has blossomed into an incredible talent. Today, no child who visits our community leaves without one of Bob's balloon creations, and no resident's birthday passes without one of his colorful works of art. We tell him all the time he could have a thriving business! He's also one of the featured "books" in our Human Library, where guests can sit down and hear the remarkable story of his motorcycle journey through all 48 contiguous states and the lessons he learned along the way. Bob is a reminder that there is no age limit on discovering a new passion, learning a new skill, or finding another way to make the world a little brighter. At our community, we believe every person is still writing new chapters, still surprising themselves, and still becoming. Sometimes, a whole new purpose just starts with a balloon.

When you’re the heart of what makes a community thrive, the moments we share outside of work should be just as special. Our team enjoyed a Tampa Bay Rays vs. Yankees game in style! While the hometown Rays didn’t get the win, the memories were priceless, the laughter, dancing during the 7th inning stretch, getting the cameraman’s attention for our TV moment, and simply enjoying time together. We’re more than coworkers, we’re a team that creates joy, connection, and unforgettable moments both inside and outside our community.
