Did you know that approximately 8-13% percent of women have PCOS? And about 70% of those at least are still undiagnosed.
Not to mention, PCOS is even worse for some races than it is for others. It has been found that Hispanic women have the most severe phenotype, in terms of hyperandrogegism and metabolic criteria.
Of coarse however, regardless of race, women with a family history of PCOS are at a higher risk for PCOS, as well as women with a family history of type 2 diabetes.
