POV: Some call it a work day but for a mama, it’s the day her whole world changes. 🥹

There is something so sacred about birth.

I’ve had the privilege of witnessing these moments over and over again, and somehow, they never become ordinary.

The first time a mama sees her baby.
The first touch.
The first cry.
The way she looks at that tiny face and realizes, you’re really here.

There is strength in the room. There are tears, laughter, prayers, quiet moments, big emotions, and so much love.

And somewhere in the middle of all of it, I get to stand beside a mama and her family, offering a steady hand, a calm presence, encouragement, and sometimes just a reminder to breathe.

I never want to lose sight of what a gift that is.

This isn’t just work to me. It’s an honor. It’s sacred. And I’m continually reminded that God allows me to be present for some of the most beautiful moments in a family’s story.

Birth days will always be some of my favorite days. 🤍

This moment right here never gets old. 🤍

The first time a mama holds her baby against her chest. The room gets quiet. Time slows down. And everything she worked so hard for is suddenly, beautifully real.

As a doula, I get to witness this over and over again. And every single time, I am undone by the sacred weight of it.

This is why I do what I do.

Not just to help you get through labor. but to walk alongside you so that when THIS moment comes, you feel safe, supported, and fully present for it.

Among the many beautiful sights in Belize, this monument to motherhood especially captured my heart.

Seeing a statue that honors the nurturing bond between mother and baby felt especially meaningful. The image of a mother breastfeeding her child is a powerful reminder that across cultures, languages, and borders, mothers are caring for, nurturing, and loving their babies in much the same way.

Motherhood is one of God’s most beautiful designs, a calling marked by strength, sacrifice, tenderness, and unwavering love. Standing here reminded me that the work of supporting mothers and families extends far beyond our own communities.

No matter where we are in the world, the love between a mother and her child speaks the same language. 🤍

We believe that it takes a village to support a mom.

Motherhood is one of the best and most transformative experiences you will ever experience.

Find supportive care from three birth professionals and other moms who are local and are experiencing the same life stage as you.

Join us once a month for a time of fellowship with your local village of moms. This is a community group and is always free of charge.

Pregnancy, labor, birth, and postpartum were never meant to be done alone. 🤍

That’s why my husband and I are so excited to officially open enrollment for our NEW 4-week partner birth cohort at Birth Co in Spring, TX.

This course is for couples who want to prepare for birth as a TEAM.

Not just learning how labor works…
But learning how to support each other through:
• pregnancy
• labor
• decision making
• postpartum
• exhaustion
• fear
• recovery
• and the transition into parenthood

One thing I say often is this:
Pregnancy is a marathon.
Labor is a marathon.
Postpartum is a marathon.

And marathons aren’t meant to be run without preparation, support, and endurance.

Over 4 Thursday nights together, we’ll cover:
✨ physiological birth
✨ comfort measures & hands-on labor support
✨ partner advocacy
✨ communication during labor
✨ preparing emotionally & mentally
✨ postpartum planning
✨ protecting your relationship through transition
✨ and so much more

This won’t feel like a lecture.
It will be interactive, practical, honest, and deeply encouraging.

We’re creating space for couples to ask questions, connect, practice, learn, and walk into birth feeling more confident together.

Labor and your nervous system are more connected than you think. 🧠🤍

When you’re in labor, your brain is constantly reading your environment, your thoughts, and your emotions and responding accordingly.

Fear and tension signal danger to your nervous system, which can slow labor and intensify pain. But when you feel safe, supported, and calm? Your body can do what it was designed to do.

This is why the environment you birth in matters.
This is why your support team matters.
This is why learning to regulate your nervous system before labor even begins matters.
When you learn to work with your body instead of against it everything changes.
