Itâs official. Iâve graduated with my Master of Public Policy and Administration from California Lutheran University with a 3.97 GPA â and Iâm still processing what it took to get here.
This journey started with a McClair scholarship offer from CLU for my bachelorâs degree. That offer told me someone believed I was worth investing in. It gave me the encouragement I needed to keep going â and I never forgot it. Recently was awarded the Wes McClure scholarship from California City Management Foundation.
The School Of Management gave me a home. Serving as a SOM Brand Ambassadors was a privilege I didnât take lightly, and helping build and hold together the California Lutheran University ICMA - International City/County Management Association Student Chapter into something that produced award-winning events is one of the things Iâm proudest of. That chapter mattered. The students in it mattered.
To the City of Moorpark â thank you. My internship in the City Managerâs Office has been one of the most meaningful professional experiences of my life. And the graduation card I received from the team genuinely moved me. It reflected the heart of the city â the care, the intentionality, the people behind the work. I wonât forget it.
To the people who believed in me and showed up along the way â Rosie, Gerhard Apfelthaler, Sabith Khan, Ph.D. , PJ Gagajena, Jonathan Royas, J.D., Katrina Titus, Carmen Nichols, MPPA, Ron Smart, CLU Women In Business and so many others thank you from the bottom of my heart. You didnât just support a student. You supported a whole person navigating a lot at once, and that means everything.
Whatâs next? More work. Pur Regen. Bigger fish to fry. The same commitment to doing it right.
Grateful doesnât begin to cover it.
