Hot flashes get all the attention… 🔥
Meanwhile your vajayjay is over here
sending out SOS signals. 🚨

Dryness.
Irritation.
Discomfort.
Sound familiar?

For many women, vaginal dryness is a common sign of estrogen decline.
The problem isn’t that it happens.
The problem is nobody talks about it.
So let’s change that.

Because suffering in silence is officially last season.

There are commercial and compounded prescription options that can help! Drop into my DM’s and let’s chat.

🎃 Welcome to the PERIMENOPAUSE HAUNTED HOUSE. 👻
Where the scariest things aren’t hiding under the bed.
They’re things women are STILL being told about their hormones. 😳

And as a pharmacist who has spent years studying hormone health, I can tell you that some of these conversations are long overdue for an update.

Here’s what I wish more women knew:
✨ Hormone levels fluctuate significantly during perimenopause. A single normal lab result doesn’t necessarily tell the whole story.

✨ Perimenopause can begin in your 40s, sometimes earlier.

✨ Sleep disturbances, anxiety, brain fog, and changes in menstrual cycles deserve to be taken seriously.

✨ Menopausal hormone therapy isn’t appropriate for everyone, but the blanket statement that hormones cause cancer leaves out a LOT of important information about the type of hormone, route of administration, timing, and individual risk.
Because getting older is inevitable.
Being dismissed shouldn’t be. 💗

Now tell me…

👻 Which of these have YOU heard in your search for answers?

One revelation I had when I started learning about hormone therapy:
progesterone is one of the first hormones to start declining.
And honestly? That makes so much sense.

Because often, one of the first signs that perimenopause is here is that your cycles get wonky.
You can’t sleep.
You have hot flashes at night.
All of a sudden you can’t handle stress like you used to.
These are ALL signs that progesterone is declining.
And you’ll often see these before you see the signs of estrogen decline.

But here’s a myth I hear all the time:
“If you don’t have a uterus, you don’t need progesterone.”
Wrong.
If you truly want to optimize your hormones, you have to invite everyone to the party. Progesterone needs a seat at the table.
Right beside estrogen, they are complementary to each other.
They like to play in the sandbox together.
They ride the seesaw on opposite sides of each other and help you stay balanced.
They are like salt and pepper.
Yin and Yang.
Monica and Rachel.
Rip and Beth.
You can’t have one without the other and expect things to work right.

When progesterone starts dropping, your body sends signals.
Wonky cycles.
Insomnia.
Anxiety.
Night sweats.
Mood swings.
Brain fog.

These aren’t random.
They’re your body telling you something needs support.
Testing reveals the truth about your progesterone levels—and whether optimization could change everything for you.

Be sure to ask your provider to find your answers!

Oh, little girl. 🥹❤️
If you only knew the life we would live.
The dreams we would chase. The mistakes we would make. The people we would love. The things we would lose. The mountains we would climb. And the times we would have to pick ourselves up and start all over again.

Life didn’t turn out quite like we imagined.
Some chapters were harder than we ever could have prepared for. And some were more beautiful than we ever dared to dream.

There are still things I want to accomplish. Places I want to go. People I want to help. And on most days, I still feel like I’m figuring it all out.
But maybe that little girl sees something I sometimes forget.
We’ve already come so far. 💛

And I think she’d be pretty proud of the woman we’re becoming.
Turns out, she believed in me long before I knew how to believe in myself. 🥹💕

So here’s a little something I want you to try…
Have a conversation with the little child you used to be.

Ask her what she thinks of the woman you’ve become. Tell her about the life you’ve lived, the challenges you’ve faced, the things you’ve overcome, and the dreams you’re still chasing.

And then listen.
You might be surprised to find that she’s a whole lot prouder of you than you are of yourself. 🥹❤️
Have the conversation. She might just remind you how far you’ve come. 💛

If you’re taking estrogen, progesterone, testosterone, thyroid medication, and enough supplements to open your own pharmacy… but nobody has asked you what you’re eating for breakfast…
Or how many hours you’re sleeping? Whether you’re having regular bowel movements? How you’re managing stress?

Listen, I LOVE hormones. I believe in the power of hormone replacement therapy when it’s appropriate. And supplements absolutely have their place.

But you cannot supplement your way out of poor lifestyle habits.

Your hormones don’t operate in a vacuum. Your gut, your sleep, your nutrition, your stress levels, and your metabolic health ALL influence how you feel and how well your body responds to treatment.

And sometimes, before we ADD another supplement or INCREASE another hormone, we need to look at the foundation.
The goal isn’t to see how many things we can put you ON.
The goal is to figure out what your body actually NEEDS.

And sometimes that starts with a conversation about the basics. 💛

You’re sitting there having a girls night out. 👯‍♀️
The conversation turns funny. 😄
Everyone starts laughing. 😂
😅
And then... everyone starts peeing. 🤣🤣🤣

Welcome to GSM. (Genitourinary Syndrome of Menopause—and yes, it’s real, and yes, you’re not alone.)😘

It’s not just the bathroom runs. 🚽
It’s the dryness. 🏜️
The discomfort during sex.🌵
The feeling like your body betrayed you without asking permission.
🫪
Here’s what pi**es me off (pun intended):
77% of menopausal women deal with this.
And most doctors act like it’s just something you accept. 🤷🏻

I’m all about hormones and functional medicine…
And I’m telling you straight:
GSM is treatable.
Vaginal estrogen, systemic HRT adjustments, targeted solutions… they work.

Your doctor might not bring it up.
Your friends might be too embarrassed to say it out loud.
But I will.
Because your comfort, your intimacy, your quality of life matters.
🔆
Have you asked your doctor about vaginal estrogen?
Maybe it’s time. Even if you’re on systemic estrogen.

Share this with that friend that gets it. 🗣️💠
