🌱 Most gardeners plant one crop… and wonder why animals keep killing their garden!!!!

Need help?? Go to the comment section to get my intensive planting planners that will keep your garden alive!!!

✨ But intensive planting changed everything for me!!!!

Today I lifted one huge collard leaf and underneath was:
🌼 marigold
🌿 dusty miller
🧅 green onion

All growing together, breaking the plant spacing rules!!!!

Because listen.....

🦌 Deer and garden pests don’t like diverse gardens.

When they walk up and smell layers of different plants and textures… they get confused and move on to your neighbor’s yard. 👀

The secret isn’t just planting flowers… it’s planting together and creating diversity that protects your food!!!

Stop planting single crops. Start planting smarter.

🍉 Watermelon and squash are actually in the same plant family called the Cucurbit family (yes… squash is technically a fruit because it grows from a flower and holds seeds inside 👀).

Wwhhattt??!!!

🌱 🐛 But here are the pests that attack BOTH:
• Squash Bugs
• Cucumber Beetles
• Aphids
• Vine Borers

🎯 Pests that love to kill squash:
• Squash Vine Borers

🍉 Pests that love to eat watermelon:
• Spider Mites
• Rindworms that damage the fruit itself

🌿When you know plant families, you can predict problems before they happen and grow healthier gardens.

How will you remember all this good information?? You sure won't remember it by doom scrolling and reading a ton of garden books that will end up underneath your couch anyway....collecting dust!

I built an app for the busy gardener who doesn't have time to learn gardening, but wants to get out there and grow their own food.

📲 Comment “APP” if you want my step-by-step guide on how to start a garden + access to my plant database with 100+ plants, plant families, care guides, including fruits like watermelon and squash 🌱✨

Find out why👇🏽

If you are new at growing cucumbers, give me a follow: , save this post, or share it with someone 💾

I once killed a garden because I let cucumbers grow on the ground.
..and if you are anything like me, you are tired of having cucumbers that are perfectly green on one side, and bright yellow on the other side! 😵

Don't be like me! Let me show you what you need to do!

Grow vertical, hunny!!!!

🌿When cucumbers are not grown on a trellis, they may grow and wrap around other plants.

🌿This causes competition for sunlight, water, and nutrients, potentially harming the growth of both the cucumber plant and the plants it wraps around.

🌿Cucumbers growing on the ground can lead to overcrowding, shading, and decreased air circulation, which may increase the risk of disease.

🌿The weight of the cucumbers can weigh down the plants they're entwined with, causing them to bend or break.

Comment "APP" to start your super simple garden from scratch!

This is usually the part that most new gardeners or attempted gardeners hate:

Long, hot summer days of gardening! This is the part where we look at a garden and say,

"yeah no! I am not going outside!"

But let me caution you: pests and overgrown harvests will sneak up on you!

1. There's been a lot of heat and rain. This creates the perfect breeding ground for pests and plant diseases. Right now, peats are laying eggs and in a few days, you are going to see holes in your leafy greens. If you don't get out there, wipe down your leafy greens, and prune your plants.

If you wait, you'll get discouraged and then wonder why you don't have a green thumb.

2. Your lettuce is getting ready to go to seed. Go ahead and pull it up now. You can replace it with other crops like flowers, carrots, or beets.

3. Right now , you're cucumbers and pole beings are taking off. If you don't get out there and train them to climb and trim the bottom spent leaves, they will wrap around other plants, choking out the sun and your garden will die.

All of this can happen within a day or two. These are the kinds of conditions that grow gardens fast. See, germinate, fast. It's just a one big productive machine.

But your garden needs care and attention. If you don't know what you're doing , comment the word "APP" and I'll send you my super simple, easy gardening program-- teaching you everything you need to know about caring for your garden.

🌿 Here is my garden layout plan to extend the growing time of cool loving plants like kale:

👇 Comment PLAN and I'll send you more ideas!

💾 Save this post for your next garden project.

🥬 Plant your tallest crops like kale, collards, and broccoli in the center of your garden bed.

Then...

🌱 Surround them with medium-sized plants like bush beans, peppers, Swiss chard, or herbs.

Lastly...

🍃 Plant smaller crops like spinach along the edges of the bed.

☀️ As the larger plants grow, they create a living canopy that provides some shade for the spinach so they can withstand the high heat.

💚 That extra shade helps spinach stay cooler, grow longer, and resist bolting (going to seed too quickly).

The result? More spinach for an extended period of time!

👇 Comment PLAN and I'll send you more garden layout ideas!

💾 Save this and 🔄 share this with a gardener who loves growing more food in less space!

🌸 I LOVE Fuchsias!!!! Fuchsia blooms are super glorious to me!!!

• I keep soil consistently moist.
• Place in partial shade, especially during hot afternoons. They seem to fry easily!
• I do use a fertilizer every 2–4 weeks
• I cut off old blooms to encourage more flowers every other day

Want to grow a thriving garden without confusion? 🌿
