This picture reminds me a lot of the “Moon” card in the Tarot. This picture beautifully shows two very distinct beautiful places happening simultaneously next to each other and yet if you stare only at what’s on land, you’d have no idea of the beauty underneath the water. The “underneath” to me is the workings of spirit; the unknown. It’s a reminder that even though we may look at a situation in one way, that behind the scenes, so much more is unfolding. And it’s beautiful because it reminds us that change is ever unfolding and to trust the process.

I think the strangest part of this journey, is when I decided to do this kind of work, people made assumptions. People have a preconceived notion that if you work with the tarot/any divination tool or talk to spirits, that you are all knowing and can do no wrong and have never been wrong. That way of thinking is so far from the truth. In fact, it was my need to connect to something, due to my unknowing, that led me here. Now that I have been doing this for 5 years, I have found it as a tool, or a bridge to gap the physical reality from the ethereal. But it doesn’t mean that I have it all figured out. Not one practitioner of this line of work does. And if they claim they do or say they know it all, run. I stepped into this role to first help myself and then it turned into helping others. We are all capable of such things and must act as vessels for one another to help carry out the collective mission which is raising the vibration of this earth. It doesn’t mean I haven’t given a bad reading Or that I have it all figured out. It doesn’t mean that I don’t have bad days. It doesn’t mean I don’t cry, question, go through grief etc. In fact, I feel it quite deeply and I’ve always been told I am too sensitive. But now I turn that sensitivity into a super power to help reclaim the hope of those who have lost it. Even if I only help one person, there is a reason I am on this path and I will see it through till the end. I changed my name from Alison Harlan Tarot and Mediumship reader (or whatever long title it actually was) lol to Ethereal Echo by Ali because I am not sure where this journey is going to take me or what that looks like; but I do understand that I connect with spirit to help guide myself and others through this journey of life. For we are all spiritual beings having a human experience. By acknowledging that fact first, that I am human, it allows me to appreciate the ability to feel so deeply. How wonderful that truly is. Here’s to more years of figuring this “life” thing out and being the universe’s student.
