AGE: 1 1/2 Years (18 months gestationally)
When I created this page I wanted an outlet for everything Amanda & I were experiencing, but I also wanted some form of documentation to reflect on in years to come.
I had the chance to scroll through this page today and relive all of the support we received throughout Scarlette's journey. The feeling is so humbling that it leaves me speechless. Amanda & I received gifts and messages from people we've never met (still very thankful by the way). My mother will introduce me to her peers saying "This is my son David, Scarlette's father." I even had an old friend offer her breastmilk when Amanda couldn't produce enough. The support was (and continues to be) overwhelming. Therefore I thought it necessary to post a long overdue update of our pre-mature daughter:
She walks...everywhere...all the time.
She knows a few words but only uses two: "Dada" & "Bah".
She eats whole food now and is beginning to feed herself; (to my delight she is a tidy eater like her father).
She patiently waits for us to come get her out of her crib in the morning, (which can even be as late as 9am).
She ADORES reading, but only until you get halfway through; at which point she decides the book is garbage and throws it on the ground. Kind of like Allegient.
Thank you all again, and please be encouraged, knowing that you continue to be a blessing to Amanda Renee Fox & I.
