🚨 TEXAS THC BAN TAKES EFFECT FRIDAY, POSSESSION NOW A FELONY

Texas is banning delta-8, delta-10, THCP and THCA h**p products starting Friday, July 31, making possession a state jail felony punishable by 180 days to two years in prison and fines up to $10,000. The ban follows a May Texas Supreme Court ruling that let the Texas Department of State Health Services classify those THC variants as a Schedule I controlled substance, ending a 2021 injunction that had let the products stay on shelves for five years. Low-dose delta-9 THC products — the most commonly sold form in Texas — remain legal, along with delta-9 smokeable h**p like flower and joints, since a separate ban on those is currently paused by a court ruling. Cannabis industry experts estimate the change could pull 60% to 90% of THC products off shelves at some of the roughly 14,000 licensed h**p retailers statewide, and businesses caught selling banned products could lose their licenses and face felony charges of their own.

If you have delta-8 or THCA products sitting at home right now, did you know Friday could make holding onto them a felony?
