This week, a lot of parents are doing one of the hardest kinds of cleaning: cleaning out the nest.

The car is packed. The dorm room is coming together. There are hugs, a few tears, and probably at least one last-minute trip to the store for something that somehow didn’t make the packing list.

College move-in week is a big milestone for students, but we know it can tug pretty hard on a parent’s heartstrings, too.

And when tomorrow comes, many of those parents will head back to offices, schools, medical facilities, churches and businesses, adjusting to a workplace that might feel a little easier to return to when it’s clean, fresh and welcoming.
