If concealer no longer hides the hollowness under your eyes, the issue may not be pigmentation, you may be experiencing volume loss.

Under-eye filler can help restore some of the lost volume and soften the hollow appearance.

But here’s how I’d approach it:

1. First, figure out what’s actually causing the hollow look.
Not every dark or tired-looking under-eye needs filler. Hollowness, pigmentation, skin quality and shadows can all make the under-eye look different.

2. If volume loss is the problem, filler can restore that volume.

The goal isn’t to completely fill the area or make the under-eye look puffy. It’s to strategically replace enough volume to soften the hollow and create a smoother transition between the under-eye and cheek.

3. Your anatomy determines how much you actually need.

This is one of those areas where more isn’t necessarily better. Your bone structure, existing volume, skin quality and the depth of the hollow all matter when deciding whether you’re a good candidate and how much correction is appropriate.

4. The goal should be a smoother, more rested-looking under-eye, not a completely different face.

A good result should still look like you.

1. Wear SPF every single day, even indoors.

Apply sunscreen every morning, even if you’re working indoors or it’s cloudy outside. UV exposure quietly breaks down collagen every single day, and while Botox relaxes the muscles that cause wrinkles, it can’t protect your skin from sun damage. 

2. Stay consistent with a retinoid, and stop over-exfoliating around it.

A retinoid helps improve your skin over time, so when Botox softens your lines, your skin looks smoother too. But layering it with strong acids and scrubs does the opposite. A healthy skin barrier will always give you better-looking results. 

3. Keep your skin properly hydrated.

Use a good moisturizer every day, include hydrating ingredients like hyaluronic acid or glycerin in your routine, and don’t forget to drink enough water. Well-hydrated skin naturally looks smoother, while dehydrated skin makes fine lines stand out much more. 

4. Sleep on your back or on a silk pillowcase.

If sleeping on your back isn’t realistic, a silk pillowcase is a great alternative. It reduces friction and puts less pressure on your skin while you sleep. Those repeated sleep creases add up over time, and Botox can’t prevent wrinkles caused by pressure. 

5. Stay consistent with your Botox appointments. 

Try not to wait until your Botox has completely worn off before coming back. Keeping up with your treatments helps prevent your muscles from returning to full strength each time, which often means smoother, longer-lasting results over time.

Your Botox is only part of the equation. The way you care for your skin every day plays a huge role in how good your results look over time.

You just had Botox... now let’s make sure you get the best possible result.

The first 24 hours matter more than most people think. A few simple precautions can make a big difference.

For the first 24 hours, avoid:

❌ Lying flat for 4 hours after treatment

❌ Rubbing or massaging the treated area

❌ Intense workouts or anything that makes you sweat heavily

❌ Facials or other facial treatments

❌ Too much alcohol (it can increase bruising)

Instead, do this:

✅ Stay upright for at least 4 hours.

✅ Gently move the treated muscles naturally (smile, frown, or raise your eyebrows if advised).

✅ Keep your skincare gentle for the rest of the day.

✅ Stay hydrated.

✅ Keep wearing your sunscreen

✅ Be patient; Botox doesn’t work instantly.

Your aftercare is just as important as your treatment. Protect your results. 💛

✨Wear sunscreen every single day.

Even when you’re indoors. UV exposure happens during everyday life too, and sunscreen is one of the easiest ways to protect your skin from premature aging and pigmentation.

✨ Stop changing your skincare routine every month.

Your skin needs consistency. Constantly swapping products because something new is trending causes more irritation,

✨ Treat acne as soon as it starts.

Waiting until it’s “really bad” often means more inflammation, more breakouts, and a higher chance of acne marks sticking around afterwards.

✨ Moisturize... even if your skin is oily.

Oily skin still needs hydration. When your skin is dehydrated, it can actually produce even more oil to compensate.

✨ Don’t pick at your skin.

A pimple usually heals much faster than the dark mark or scar that’s left behind after picking it.

✨ Protect your skin after treatments.

Whether you’ve had a facial, microneedling, or a peel, your aftercare matters just as much as the treatment itself.

✨ Give your products time to work.

Most skincare products need weeks, not days, to show real results.

✨ Don’t try to fix everything at once.

Trying to treat acne, pigmentation, texture, redness, and fine lines all at the same time usually leaves your skin overwhelmed. Focus on one concern first, then build from there.

✨ Think long-term.

The women with the best skin aren’t looking for overnight results. They’re building habits they can stick to for years, and that’s what makes the biggest difference.

Everywhere you look, we’re being told the same message.

People keep creating content that tells us wrinkles are bad, aging is bad, and the goal is to look as young as possible for as long as possible.

And that’s changing the way society looks at aging.

Now, the moment someone notices the smallest line or wrinkle, the first thought is, *”I need Botox.”*

If that line is still there, they start looking for another treatment because they’ve been made to believe that every sign of aging needs to be fixed.

That’s never how I’ve looked at aesthetics.

We’re not supposed to be fighting against aging.

Aesthetic treatments were never designed to make you look like you’re never going to get older. They’re there to soften the changes that bother you, help your skin age in a healthier way, and help you still look like yourself for years to come.

That’s the standard I wish more people were chasing.

The problem isn’t Botox. It’s the standard people think they’re supposed to achieve.

The reason so many people end up looking overdone isn’t because Botox is a bad treatment. It’s because they’ve been made to believe they’re supposed to look like they’re never going to age.

So the moment they notice a wrinkle, a line, or a little bit of movement, they think they need more Botox. And when that doesn’t feel like enough, they start looking for the next treatment... and the next one after that.

But that’s never what Botox was designed for.

Botox isn’t supposed to erase every expression or make you look like a completely different person. It’s there to soften the lines that bother you, help prevent deeper lines over time, and help you still look like yourself five, ten, even twenty years from now.

If you keep chasing the idea that you’re never supposed to age, you’ll always feel like there’s one more thing to fix.

But when your goal is simply to age well, your entire approach to aesthetics changes.
