It’s true midwife’s can catch a baby in any position. When at home it’s not just about laboring in what ever position you want. As long as it’s working you can push you baby out in any position.

In 2025 babies came out in a few different positions:
50% in hands in knees
25% on the birth stool
13% on the toilet
11% on their backs

Who you invite to your birth matters.
Home birth leaves the door open for parents to decide who they want and need at their birth. 🏠
The people in attendance are there to support you as you work hard to bring a baby into the world.
The midwife team are professional supporters Who also have your back when times get tough. 👩🏽‍⚕️
Doula’s and photographers are professionals you get to pick from who match your needs and spirit. 📸
Anyone one else (friends and family) also needs to serve a purpose. Everyone at the birth is there to make labor and birth go as well as it can.
Taking care of older children. 👧
Taking care of pets. 🐶
Taking care of food. 🍎
Taking care of the parents. 🤰

After a baby is born and things have had time to settle I do a head to toe check of baby including measurements and the most fun weigh in. (Peep those tiny feet) 👣
I love when everyone takes guesses on weight, any accuracy I one had is now out the window carrying around a toddler all the time!
This is generally a short peaceful process for baby then right back to breastfeeding! 🤱
Newborn vitamin k and antibiotic eye ointment is available for those who choose to opt in.

A consultation with me can help you get yourself on track and set up to have an enjoyable postpartum time.

I can answer questions, guide you, and even send you to some very valuable resources.

As a midwife I spend 6 weeks with families after a baby is born and I have learned a thing or two about prepping to keep your head above water.

My personal and professional expertise in postpartum has created an abundance of knowledge to help out!
